Lacking one major thing
Bagels are great, would be better if Daniel would buy a toaster.

My precious...
The stuff is great...the food is delicious...the atmosphere...I am lost for words....the only thing which is missing is me....behind the counter.....!!

Poor Service
The bagels are great, but the staff are horrible. Last time that I went I tried a knish that they couldn't (or wouldn't heat up). I have decided that the treatment from the staff no longer make this a desirable place to pick up food from.

Uneven, spotty performance
Daniel's has 100% great bagels and 75% poor service. One of the people behind the counter will make you a bagel with nova to die for. The others put so little salmon on the bagel that there is no way the food is worth the price. But the bagels are great, so if you don't get the boss, order something else. Just hope you don 't end up with cream cheese redolent with the aroma of onion on a cinammon-raisin bagel. The workers want to go on unemployment; I hope the boss wakes up before he loses many more customers and goes out of business, since the loss of the bagels would be tragic.

Best Bagels in the World
I tried many bagels, but when I tried Daniel's bagels on Third Avenue and 38th Street, I just discovered the best bagel in the world.! They also carry all kinds of cream cheeses, fresh smoked fish, and the tofu spread, vegetable or sundried tomato, are low in calories but high in flavor They also have so many kinds of muffings and cakes...I love that place! I would recommned Daniel's Bagels to everyone that wants to try "the real thing".
