    Great Bagels, But SLOOOW Service

The bagels at Daniel's are great, crusty outside and airy inside. The cream cheese varieties are also excellent, as is the whitefish salad. The only less than stellar item I've ever ordered was one of the muffins, which was very dense and not very flavorful. BUT, be warned! Be prepared for a wait when you go at peak times such as weekend mornings. You are guaranteed to wait almost 30 minutes in line, and the staff never seems to be in a hurry, although I never have found them to be rude. I guess you just need to know what you're getting into when you go there.

    Overrated, way overpriced

Daniel's Bagels prices are considerably higher than most other deli's in the area. The bacon and egg sandwich I had today was average at best and cost twice what I normally pay at another deli a couple of blocks away. But, now I know. I won't be coming back here again. There are too many other options in the neighborhood to waste money at this place.

    Weekend hassle

I walk by Daniel's during the week and thought it might be nice to get bagels for some weekend visitors. Bad idea. It was a zoo and my order came out wrong after two tries.

I was just surfing around menupages and found these daniel's reviews and I was compelled to post because I go there every day and Daniel's is being threatened by a dunkin donuts next door. The service is pretty good. The wonderful bagels are made fresh throughout the day. It takes 2 minutes to get a toasted bagel with cream cheese. There's seldom a line and there are always a number of people working. And they're perfectly nice! The chicken salad is the best in the area! It's wonderful, go!

Good bagels, not so good everything else

Daniel's has gone down hill these days due to lack of management. Last time I was there I was fairly certain the cream cheese on my bagel was bad. The whole experience left me with a bad taste. When I went in to alert the manager of the problem, he barked at me - never had an experience like that - thought others would like to know.

    Great Bagels - Poor Service

Best cream cheese I have ever had. The tuna is the best in the city. With 2 people on line you will be waiting 30 min for a bagel and most likely they will get your order wrong. Cant figure out how they can be so unorganized after so many years. Wont deliver more than 3 blocks from their store.

Great food, not so great service

Best chicken salad I've found in the neighborhood, bagels all taste fantastic. The food is just superb all around. But they employ possibly the slowest people I've seen outside of Yankee stadium's concession stands. I routinely have to repeat my order 2 or 3 times, and even then they don't get it right all the time. On top of that it takes 10 minutes to prepare 2 bagels with chicken salad? And that's after waiting in line for however long.
