Consistently disappointing experiences
After reading my title, you may wonder "Why does he keep going back?" My roommates order from here often, and tonight my girlfriend suggested we get delivery from Daniello's. I've been less than unimpressed with their food before tonight, so I knew what to expect. I ordered the Burger. I can't remember when I've had a burger so disappointing. It felt like a frozen patty. The bacon I ordered on it was brown, was unappetizing and was mostly fat. I also ordered the garlic bread with cheese which was sub-par. My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Franscese which she claimed wasn't too bad. After having a taste of her meal, I promptly questioned what she deemed to be "good food". It was just a soggy breaded chicken cutlet with a lemon zing over pasta. The highlight of the meal was the overpriced Banana Smoothie which was helpful to drown out the poor taste of the rest of the dinner. Will never order from here again, period.

Whoever thinks this is good has never had good pizza
I'm sorry, I've lived in this city my entire life, and this is truly some of the most unappetizing pizza I have ever had! The sauce tasted like it was canned and had too much sugar in it. The sausage looked like it had been freshly squeezed from a tube, and the cheese, what little there was tasted and looked like it came from a Kraft container. Put it all together and this was a disappointing pie!

best pizza on the upper west side
Usually I have to go to brooklyn or queens if I want a quality slice but not anymore. I found this place a few days ago and I intend to return again and again. I don't know about the main dishes but the pizza is as good as I've ever had. I would recommend this place to anybody. If you live in the area you should definitely try it. All the other places on the upper west side are not good compared to daniello's.

The dish on the Deep Dish
Their deep dish pizza is the best around. Cooked perfectly and the sauce is to die for. A top pick for a picky pizza family.

worst phone service i've ever encountered, but...
phone service is the worst in the city, i'm convinced. the pies are wonderful, but i have gotten so pissed at the customer service that i've, for the most part, stopped ordering from there. i must say though, after several months of boycotting daniellos, tonight i ordered a delivery from them, and for the first time ever, i had a pleasant customer service experience. i'll probably keep the delivery ordering minimal, as the experiences i've had with them are mostly terrible and uncomfortable, but i must say, the pizza IS quite good, and if you're up for some really rude and pushy phone etiquette, these are the guys to call. you know what, as a real italian, if you want the real italian experience, you go to these guys.

surly service and pie was not cooked enough
Usually, Daniello's pizza is ok, not great, but ok. It has a very thin crust which I like, the sauce is a bit sweet for me. The kids like it, so I order it. NEVER AGAIN. My pie today was barely cooked. More cheese was on the box than on the pie. It looked as if someone literally just whipped it out of the oven and threw it across the room into a box.

Pretty Good Whole Wheat Pie
This is one of the few places in the neighborhood that offers a whole wheat crust. Curiously, it seems different every time we order it. We call about once a week. Not fantastic, but pretty satisfying. The delivery guys are nice. But someone should tell them to be careful to keep the pizza horizontal as they transport it. It has been bunched up on one side of the box more than once.
