Great Find
Have passed Daniela's numerous times and always wanted to try it. Very glad I finally did. We shared the calamari appetizer and it was among the best we ever had. Our entrees were pizza and gnocchi. Both were very good. Prices were reasonable. A good find in the theatre district.

Little Gem in Theatre District
My husband and I discovered this place a few years ago - we go to NYC a few times a year for theatre weekends, and always make sure to visit for breakfast. Recently, I was in the city for a business trip and traveling alone. I went there for dinner, and was pleasantly delighted. Instead of tucking the single diner in the back (as so often happens), they seated me at a window table. Service was impeccable, and the owner (?) made it a point to make sure I had everything I needed - a kind gentleman. Bolognese sauce is fabulous (they will substitute other pastas for the rigatoni listed on the menu). It's a casual place with very good food at a great value, especially for the neighborhood, and is is consistently good.

Gratuity
Ate in this restaurant during a recent trip to NY with my wife. Food was great. Big portions. But what annoyed me was that the Gratuity was added for us at a rate of 20%. The Service was OK but not 20% worth. Traveller's from the UK hate this practice anyhow, but also tend not to tip above 10 to 15%.

Good food, cozy atmosphere off Times Sq
My husband and I were walking around the Times Square/Theater District area and saw this restaraunt. We decided to go in and try it. We were not disappointed. He had the Rigatoni Bolognese, which was very good! I had the Chicken Parmigiana, which was better than average but not as good as his dish. Our waiter was pleasant and accomodated us when we wanted to sit near the window to people watch. The atmosphere was low lighting with candles on the table, and very relaxing after being out on the busy streets. We really enjoyed our dinner there and would go back again.

A Fantastic Take Out/Delivery Lunch
I work two blocks away from Daniela's, and as trader, cannot leave my desk to go out for lunch. Hence, my fellow traders and I relish finding restasruant s who deliver a high quality meal quickly very much. Food is tasty and simply prepared. You pick the type of pasta and choose from alfredo, marinara, voldka, bolognese, pesto etc. Veal and Chicken dishes....Basic menu with high quality ingredients ....Think think crust pizza with fresh mozz.and tomatoes. Antipastos both cold and hot will please. And the bread...warm fresh semolina...worth the price of admission itself...Finally ....heros, chicken, veal parm wedges....they have it all.... Hey I gotta jump...getting hungry and need to order lunch!

Unpleasant experience
I never post to these websites, but I a poor experience at this restaurant and felt it was appropriate to share my experience. I went there on a Friday night with my wife and another couple. The other 3 orders were fine, but I had ordered Fettucini Pesto. I was brought Fettucini in a white sauce (which looked like Alfredo). The waiter said "no problem.". A few minutes later he came back with what he said was Fettucini Pesto (though it looked like it might have just been the alfredo mixed with pesto). I tried a couple of bites and it tasted odd (the top layer was pesto, but underneath tasted alfredo). I asked the waiter whether they just mixed the 2 together and he said no the Fettucini Alfredo went to another table of 3 people that he pointed to in the back (we were seated in the front of the restaurant). So I said fine. Literally, 2 minutes later that table of 3 left. So I asked him what happened. He said they finished eating. I asked him how that was possible - he said the Pesto is just creamy the way they make it. I cancelled my order. They then brought out Fettucini Pesto - the real one, which looked completely different. I feel like it was extremely poor service and I was mistreated.
