Vegan Chow Fun
I often craze the "stir fried flat rice noodle with soy". It reminds me of chow fun when I was a little girl. Anyway, the delivery guys are always pleasant when my dogs jump on them. One of the few vegan joints that deliver.

Don't go for sushi
I went here for an early dinner today and ordered a volcano roll (their version has shrimp tempura topped w/ spicy tuna). It was disappointingl. Thick breading, not a traditional light tempura; shrimp was overcooked and cold when it arrived; tuna tasted and looked stale. With so many sushi restaurants in the city, don't waste your time here.

nice expansion
Dang Lai has recently expanded its menu to include a traditional Chinese menu, in addition to its vegetarian options. We went with a group and ordered from both menus and were very pleased. The atmosphere and service were tops as usual.

Gone down hill!!
ever since this restaurant became, vegetarian, chinese and japanese together, the service has gone down hill, the delivery service is poor, received wrong order twice. Much better as a stand alone as it originally started.

Good, healthy food - go for lunch
I went here for lunch today and thought it was great. For $8 I got a plate of Ma Po Tofu which was hearty and delicious. It was vegetarian but really tasted "meaty" - there was a nice variety of mushrooms that probably contributed to the "meatiness". It came with a spring roll and cup of jasmine tea with refills. The meal was healthy and filling and under $10. You can't ask for more than that. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice, too.

zen palate gone very wrong
as a vegetarian i tried this place (delivery) thinking it might lean slightly more toward chinese food but it actually seemed like zen palate gone very wrong. i suppose i should have realized this based on the menu and the titles of the dishes. the highlight of the meal was the single "taro spring roll" i got with the lunch special - it was pretty much the only thing i wanted to eat. the soy protein was okay but the sauces and dips were bad and everything was cold. the wonton soup was simultaneously bland and strangely flavored. i took a few bites of each dish and pushed it aside. for vegetarian chinese fare i will stick with red hot or tofu in park slope. the upside? pleasant service, decent value and portion sizes for a kosher joint.

Great restaurant
I've eaten at many restaurants like this one (vegetarian/faux meats)and am mostly a vegetarian- this place is great. Even my meat and potatoes type husbands loves the food. The service is impeccable and the place is very clean- especially the bathrooms!
