Our favorite local.
We often head around to Dalton's to watch the game on a week night. Our regular waiter always remembers our usual drink order and has it right to our table within minutes of sitting down. The steaks and burgers are consistently above par for pub food. Definitely our favorite spot to sit and watch the baseball on one of their many huge TVs.

In The Doldrums At Dalton's
On my last trip to New York I decided I would review all of the restaurants that I dined, upon arriving home. I just now realized that this fits into the sportsbar and grill segment. I guess sitting near the window outdoors I didn't notice the lengthy bar. The place was quite clean for a bar. The salad was overpriced as is usual in Manhattan. I didn't catch the price of my beer. Overall, just like ANY other sports bar. This is New York, go somewhere with a bit more atmosphere.

great sports bar
The TV's are huge and play almost any sport you want. The beer selection is favorable, food is good. The service was fine but Paul (the owner) runs around yelling at his staff all night, which was somewhat of a turnoff, but other than that the place is nice.

Sit at the bar
I love Daltons. The food is good (the burgers are my fav in NYC) and the bartenders are great. However, the wait staff leaves a little to be desired. When we go and there is no space at the bar, we go somewhere else.

Good place to watch the game
A group of 6 went to watch the Michigan game here (Go Blue!) and the place was packed with other adoring fans. Needless to say the wait staff was overwhelmed and service wasn't very attentive, although the manager seemed to be out on the floor helping things along. My burger arrived pretty quickly however I ordered mine after the rest of the table placed their order (because I arrived late). They had warned me that the server took a while to arrive at the table and take their orders. Meanwhile, the guys seated next to me warned me that their burgers were quite rare and it would benefit me to make sure I ordered mine more well done than usual, which I did. I ordered mine medium-well. Unfortunately, when my burger was delivered, it too was severely undercooked. The smell of raw meat still wafted from the plate. Since it was a busy day in the kitchen, I took that under consideration, but couldn't figure out how a medium well burger could be so underdone. The portion was sizeable, which was nice, but again, I feared spending all Saturday night praying at the porcelain throne so I didn't finish the large burger. The fries were similar to McDonald's fries. Nothing special. Anyway, there were tons of TVs to watch the game, which was great.

Great place for lunch
Great place to escape Times Square for a great affordable lunch. Great bar and atmosphere, with TV sets for sports. Great NE Clam Chowder when available
