Best roasted and bbq chicken of NYC

Their slowly roasted chicken is amazing. I pick up food there all the time. Don't miss their maple roasted sweet potatoes, the baked beans or the collards greens. Great selection of super fresh food. Very friendly service...

    Great Comfort Food!

Amazing comfort food! Quick delivery, great owners, and to die for corn bread. It's my new favorite bbq place. More food than you would ever know what to do with for prices so low you will wonder if you are still in the W. Village.

One of the best values of NYC

The previous reviewer is right: the new owners did all the renovations with their hands and created a true miracle out of this place. All the food is home made and extra fresh. Their ribs are to die for and their wings have no serious competitors in the city. They also have burgers that are at the top of the range. I order several times a week from them and their service and quality have always been consistent. Definitely my favorite BBQ place. A must try...

    Great for delivery

Dallas jones is awesome for delivery, and if you order often enough they'll remember you and real friendly. Delivery usually doesnt take too long at all, and when it does they usually include some free food, making it worth the wait. Also, the food is cheap, especially for nyc prices.

    Great local place

Under new owners who are rebuiling the physical plant with thier own hands, this neighborhood stalwart is blossoming anew. A good option for last minute party or whatever. My wife or I stop in and chat while we wait for an order to take home. They also have an online oredering thing going on.

    Disappointed

I have been ordering from DJ BBQ for a few years and the food for the most part was good. I consistently ordered BBQ Baby Back Ribs and the onion loaf. My last two orders were horrible. I was given beef ribs instead of BBQ Baby Back Ribs with no explanation and the onion loaf was 1/2 its usual size and very oily. What happened to my favorite local BBQ place? It'll be a while before I order again.

What happened to my fav take out?

For YEARS I have adored ordering from dallas jones. Then just a few months ago things started to change. The grilled breast of chicken on a roll used to be full of big juicy pieces of chicken on a big fresh roll. There always used to be almost too much chicken for the sandwich. It was lovely and fresh. When ordered anytime recently it has arrived with a tiny amount (too little for the roll) of dried out over cooked chicken on a stale roll. The mozzerella sticks used to be my favorite anywhere... something has changed there too. The best value on their menu for me was always the yummy chicken burritos. Last week I ordered these thinking, well maybe they haven't changed them. No luck... A small spoonful or two of chicken stew on a taco shell that had been flattened out and made soft by the heat of the stew.
