Poor Service
I like the place. It was big. The service was disappointing; nobody checked on us while we were there. The waitress was rude. I had to call another waiter to refill my water. We had to wait for a long time to get our change.

Plain disappointed
Everything was disappointing in this place, the server that attended us was always nowhere to be found and when we did see the person, they were to busy talking to other servers, ordered the crispy shrimp , the sauce overpowered the shrimp, the veggie burger was burnt and dry. Disappointed because I took my friend to eat here for his birthday

Poor Quality Food
Stopped in with a friend for dinner and the place was packed for a Wed. night. Our server was very nice and kind, but too bad the food was so poor! The crab cakes tasted like they were expired. The fries looked like they were made days ago and were re-fried to the point they turned black and dry. The bbq pork and beef combo was drenched with sauce to hide the fact that there wasn't much meat on the bun to begin with. The fried fish was breaded to the point that when you bit into it a gush of oil shoots out and it takes a while to get to the actual fish since the breaded coating is as thick as can be. As we sat there and tried to eat our meal, you can hear the other complaints by the people sitting all around us. Never again are we eating here!

Awesome food for awesome prices
All the bad reviews are obviously from people who went to this restaurant expecting high quality authentic bbq, that is not this place. If you accept this place for what it is, it's awesome. The ribs are amazing and melt in your mouth, the chicken soup is my favorite in NYC, cornbread is great, fries are to die for, pretty much everything is awesome. And, the prices are ridic. You could feed an elephant for $20 there. It's def a raucous place, so don't go there for a romantic, upscale dinner, go there to eat big portions of cheap and delicious bbq

love Dallas BBQ!
Always make it a point to have a meal at Dallas BBQ on the westside whenever in town. Love their coleslaw and have always had a great meal. It is noisy and crowded but well worth the wait.

Skip this place
The food was just okay and the service was poor. Do not waste your money. You can find a better restaurant in NYC to eat at.

Awful ain't the word
In what universe does anyone consider this place anything approaching good barbecue? Our server was friendly, attentive, and very funny, the atmosphere was so-so, very raucous and 20-something on a Saturday night, but that was ok, and expected. But this place has the words Dallas and BBQ in it's name. Being a chain, I didn't expect to have my socks knocked off. But I also did not expect a quarter piece of rotisserie Chicken, with barbecue sauce obviously poured(drenched) over it, after the fact. You think because we're NYers and not Texans, that you can call this crap barbecue? beyond bad....embarrassing.
