Awesome food for awesome prices
All the bad reviews are obviously from people who went to this restaurant expecting high quality authentic bbq, that is not this place. If you accept this place for what it is, it's awesome. The ribs are amazing and melt in your mouth, the chicken soup is my favorite in NYC, cornbread is great, fries are to die for, pretty much everything is awesome. And, the prices are ridic. You could feed an elephant for $20 there. It's def a raucous place, so don't go there for a romantic, upscale dinner, go there to eat big portions of cheap and delicious bbq

love Dallas BBQ!
Always make it a point to have a meal at Dallas BBQ on the westside whenever in town. Love their coleslaw and have always had a great meal. It is noisy and crowded but well worth the wait.

Skip this place
The food was just okay and the service was poor. Do not waste your money. You can find a better restaurant in NYC to eat at.

Awful ain't the word
In what universe does anyone consider this place anything approaching good barbecue? Our server was friendly, attentive, and very funny, the atmosphere was so-so, very raucous and 20-something on a Saturday night, but that was ok, and expected. But this place has the words Dallas and BBQ in it's name. Being a chain, I didn't expect to have my socks knocked off. But I also did not expect a quarter piece of rotisserie Chicken, with barbecue sauce obviously poured(drenched) over it, after the fact. You think because we're NYers and not Texans, that you can call this crap barbecue? beyond bad....embarrassing.

Disappointed
Ordered for delivery. They got my order wrong-- so I was overcharged. Onion rings were soggy, potatoes looked and tasted like they had been leftover from days ago and refried several times. Called the manager to complain. He told me that next time he would make sure it was better and that they would give me a free cole slaw. Admittedly, the cole slaw is good -- but I doubt I'll order anything else from there ever. Thought about calling my credit card company to dispute the charge...but that would take more time and effort. So I'll simply spread the word. And the word is "YUCK"

Bigger is not better
Delivery took about 75 minutes and I live 10 blocks away. They forgot the corn bread. The wings are the size of breasts, abnormally large and looked unappetizing. We threw most of it out and I wouldn't order from here ever again. Freakishly gross sized wings.

Absolute worst
We ordered a platter of pulled pork and pulled carolina pork from Dallas last night We asked if the side of fries would arrive crispy and they assured us yes. The carolina pulled pork arrived on a limp bun. The pork consisted of the end cap of the meat which was just a thick blob of fat. The fries were wet. The pulled pork platter was sightly better since it included some smoked sliced brisket but overall it was inedible. I would never order from here again. I I had been at the restaurant I would have sent everything back!
