Food is a shade below mediocre, but you can't do any better economically unless you get a slice or a hot dog. LOL The food isn't awful, but the chicken can be a bit dry and flavorless. There seems to ALWAYS be a crowd, I've found the best way to dine there is in 2's. A party with a number too much higher than that will more than likely be in for a wait. BBQ's is great after a club, or as an alternative to traditional fast food - but I would never call its fare "delicious." Portions are decent, and as I said, it's a great bargain for your money.

good food, must have just came home off a bid. Nothing here is really bbq'd. The cornbread is stale, the onion rings are greasy and the burgers are just okay. There are two things that assure it's not a complete disaster and that's the cheap prices and potent texas size drinks with 151 floats.

Dallas BBQ is great (this location). You get seated promptly but you feel as if you're being rushed out of there after you eat. We ordered an appetizer, but soon after we took our first bite, our entrees arrived. The food is great (depending on what you order). If you order an appetizer, wait 'till you get it, then order your entree.

I have been to Dallas BBQ on the UES as well as the one located in Times Square and have to say they are both great. Tasting several of their menu items such as the BBQ Pork Sandwich, BBQ Brisket Sandwich, Taco Salad and their burgers, I have to say that I have experienced nothing of which wouldn't bring me back again. The prices are reasonable and portion sizes are huge. I recommend this one to anyone craving anything from a nice salad, fried chicken, burgers or bbq. The only problem you will experience with this restaurant, is deciding what to order.

My pulled pork sandwich was dripping in so much sauce that I was unable to taste the pork. It looked like a pile of slop. My girlfriend's chicken was dry to the bone.

After a long period away, I am happy to say that I was not disappointed in my meal which was mouth watering delicious as usual. It is always a pleasure to dine at the 3rd Ave location which is my favorite site. Since I retired, I dont get the opportunity to return as often as I would like. Needless to say, I do miss the good food and the Texas sized drinks. I have visited 5 of the other locations and none match the 3rd Ave. restaurant, who has the best tasting food and everything else. They also have an excellent service staff, and the festive energy that emanates from the customers and staff is unmatched. That's why its the best "Palate Pleaser."
