    Fun place, great value

I go to this place whenever I am in the neighborhood. It is a fun, bustling place. The food is good, not fancy or gourmet to be sure. But most items are tasty, and the portions are big. I like the brisket, the steaks, chicken, as well as the burgers. They also have really good frozen drinks, like margaritas, etc. The best thing about this place is the price. If you don't order drinks from the bar it is entirely possible to get a dinner for two for under $30.00. That's a great value considering prices at other area restaurants. If you want a fun, inexpensive meal, this is the place to go.

    Disappointing

Prices are low and portions are large at this noisy, crowded BBQ spot. On a warm Saturday evening, the gigantic dining room was packed at an early hour and long lines were forming. Fortunately for us, most people come with larger groups so a small table for two was quickly available. This family-friendly establishment is ear-drum shatteringly loud with bustling waiters, clattering dishes and screaming children everywhere. Huge glasses of beer and soda helped us settle in and the room was impressively well air-conditioned on a hot day. We avoided ordering appetizers because we could see that portions were huge so we settled on entrees of pulled pork and brisket of beef. We hadn't expected much in the way of decor or ambiance when we make our dinner plans but we did hope for some good southern BBQ. Unfortunately, we didn't get it. The pulled pork was somewhat tasteless without generous amounts of BBQ sauce. The brisket was better but tougher than slow-cooked meat should be. A casual inquiry about our entree led to the revelation that it's not even cooked on the premises. It comes in a bag, already sliced and sauced and all the kitchen has to do is re-heat. Quite frankly, it shows. We give credit to our waitress who was quick, friendly and highly efficient. And we certainly got a lot of food at a bargain price. So, if you're feeding lots of children and are looking for generous amounts of decent food served fast and cheap, this is the place. But good southern BBQ it's not.

    Excellent service and value

Excellent and extremely fast service. Probably the best value for my buck that I have gotten in as long as I can remember. Would definitely recommend for a fast and economical meal. The food was also good and I would say above average for the price.

    A new favorite

Although I didn't order in a way to keep down the bill, which is possible to do, the food was really yummy. I loved the chicken soup, the corn bread, and my spinach chicken salad. The chicken was kind of sloppily cut up (there were big pieces of skin on the salad), but the chicken itself was delicious, and I loved that they added raisins and walnuts. My husband, who can be picky, really enjoyed his chicken and ribs.

    Fatty BBQ!

I ordered BBQ Beef Ribs to-go. Its only took 20 minutes for delivery but the ribs were fatty and nasty.

    Not real barbcue...

but it is a pretty decent deal. The food's okay, the prices are great and kids love the stuff. If you want real barbeque there are plenty of other places better than BBQ but if you're broke, their early bird special is a lifesaver. 2 Chicken soups, 2 half chickens, cornbread and potatoes or rice. For 10 bucks. Pretty amazing.
