I like Dallas BBQ a lot. I can get a generous platter of tasty fried shrimp with fries, cornbread and coleslaw for $10. The service is super fast too. I've tried the burgers and and they are some of the best I've had. The chicken, well, its rotisserie chicken, nothing special, but then again, I've never had rotisserie chicken that was extraordinary. I don't like ribs, so I can't comment on those. It would be nice to see mashed potatoes as side option, and some veggies like green beans. I think its a little strange that they don't offer any dessert items at all, and it would be nice if they did. I'm not sure what the negative reviewers are expecting. What kind of gourmet food are you expecting for those prices? The food isn't fancy, but its always fresh, and the waiters are fast. The drinks aren't exactly made with top shelf liquors, but what do you want for that price?

I've visited restaurants in this chain for many years now ... especially the ones on West 8th Street, West 72nd Street (scores of times), and (formerly) in the West 40s. Overall, these dining experiences have been quite good. I've been here twice before and was not overly impressed either time. But who would have dreamt that a place could become this poor this quickly! My food began with a half-order of vegetable teriyaki, which was not bad ... and everything went downhill from there on. The chicken was badly overcooked after I had made a point of asking that it not be, the french fries were cool when served, soggy and far too well done, and the corn bread was as tasteless as styrofoam. Rice cakes would have had more taste appeal! The waiter tried, but ultimately failed, to provide good service; give him credit for the attempt. The kitchen and other service people thwarted him. No one else on the staff seemed to care about the customers or in providing service. A simple request for a glass of water had to be repeated five times!

I just think the food is greasy and not very good. Their barbeque sauce is tastes like vinegar that has been mopped off the floor and mixed with ketsup. The ribs aren't tender, they are stringy and dry, the chicken was okay, but flavorless. The waitstaff also likes to add their own gratuity on so make sure you don't double tip them. If you do eat there....Stay away from the fried onion loaf unless you are going to be within 10 feet of a loo all night.

O my god...BBQ's has the best frozen drinks ever!!! 1 Texas size Frozen Long Island Iced Tea w/the extra shot will have you buzzed!!! The food is great also. Love the fried shrimp & wings & the french fries are tasty also. Prices are moderate as well. Definitely by far the cleanest BBQ's out of the chain in NYC. Have been to others & the cleanliness of the establishments have left something to be desired. One of them even has a Chinese food restaurant in the back(how tacky is that). I don't want to smell Fried rice when I'm fiending for BBQ. But BBQ's is a must go. If you love BBQ & a good flavored Colada or Margarita then this is the place for you. I know I'm hooked!!!

The food is only OK, the smoked rib entree is probably their best, and their hot wings are very good - other than that it's nothing special. It is however cheap though, so when I have guests that don't really appreciate good food I bring them here for cheap food and drinks.

The fo d here is delicious. They give you half chickens , whole chickens, with fries , and a tasty BBQ sauce. The food is to die for. They have the best cesar salad I've ever tasted, you would love it. The service is good, and on a busy nite, its really loud, which might get you annoyed, and they have a bar for for you which is pretty good too. I say that when u try it, you would always want to go there with your friends to celebrate.

This was my first time to a Dallas BBQ change. I wish I knew about it sooner. I come once a year to the city, and from now on one of my stops will be Dallas BBQ. The service was great and the food better! The best Bang for your Buck inNew York City.
