I tried to love this place but the other reviews really said it all: 1. overpriced 2. the food isn't cooked well 3. I live in the neighborhood and called for delivery. They said "why don't you come over and get it yourself?" 4. Min for delivery is $20! Are you kidding me?

Skip this overpriced restaurant in its out-of-the-way location. Unless you crave a loaf of commercial sliced white bread, which they put of everyone's table. Why? Who knows, but it's unappetizing.

I took my mom here for a couple of years ago becasue she saw this place on the Oprah show. I was very unhappy. First off it's so far from the train. Second it looked dirty. It was a bunch of tables all over the place & when people got up they wasn't cleaning the table when they were about to leave. Third, the food was ok. I can make ribs better than this place. Come on now. Please Daisy Mae step up your game because you did not deserve to be on the Oprah show.

My friends and I had a "pig party" at Daisy May's this week and we had a blast! The food was A M A Z I N G (full smoked pig, collared greens, baked beans with burnt ends, Texas toast). Best BBQ I've ever had!!!

It seems that everyone has already said it very well - This place was way overpriced! A sandwich, 2 sides, and a tea was just under $29. Who in their right mind spends $30 for a take-out lunch? Not worth the money for something that tastes slightly better than an average school cafeteria lunch. Servers are rude, probably due to the amount of questions each day from people complaining about the prices. Every person in my line today questioned if the bill was calculated correctly and had difficulty comprehending the high prices. I've been to Daisy May's before (years ago) and the food was much better. Now, the food is just OK. Go to Virgil's or another of the better BBQ places in midtown.

Had the "Big Pig" which, for us, consisted of a half pig and a whole butt, tons of sides (the beans with burnt ends are sublime) and reserved seating for 12. Each of us took home leftovers enough for days (made some fiiine hash myself). I would def recommend reserving so one can sit the heck down and enjoy the deliciousness!!!
