Dafni Greek Taverna

It was a relaxing atmosphere, not too busy even though it was accross from Port Authority. I will definitely go to Dafni again.

I go to lots of theater and am always looking for new, good restaurants. This is a welcome find and the real deal. The dining room is comfortable and attractive; and the tables are well spaced apart. The welcome is warm; and the service is prompt and given with a smile! The pita bread is freshly made, warm, delicious, and plentiful. The traditional Greek appetizers and Greek salad with grilled fish were fresh and the portions were generous. The bill did not break the bank. All in all, I recommend this place and intend to return.

Clean and inviting, Dafni's offered a welcomed break from the bustle outside. The service was fantastic; the wait staff were helpful and friendly but not in your face. The food was high quality and wholesome. I ordered the greek salad and it was full of fresh veggies. And you get terrific value for your dollar. We were very surprised at how low our bill was considering the quantity and quality of our food. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

My daugher and I had a wonderful meal at Dafni. Not only was the food mouth wateringly delicious, but the staff and owner made us feel SO welcomed! The water glasses were never empty, the table was always wiped clean, and our every need was attended to with warm smiles and a generosity of spirit! Authentically Greek, for sure!

My husband and I went here Saturday night based on the one menupages review. We were so glad we did. The owner and staff were so generous, friendly and wonderful. Everything we ordered was delicious. The best spinach pie I've ever had, and I've had many! Best baklava too...not too sweet and runny. We were seated right away, the ambiance was pleasant, and we will definitely be back soon.

Recently had dinner with family at this new Greek Taverna. The atmosphose is warm, inviting and the staff is extremely pleasant. The best aspect of this eatery is the amazing food! i enjoyed the appetizer spreads (tzaziki, eggplant, etc), fantastic salads, and kalamari fried to perfection! We shared grilled shrimp with spinach & rice several desserts. I especially loved the rice pudding which was the best i've ever had. The prices are exceptionally affordable and the portions are generous. Will soon be going back with friends and highly recommend Dafni!

Yesterday went with a few friends to Dafni. Being of Greek heritage, the food brought me back to my parents home cooking. My dad was a chef and made great dishes like mousaka and pastichio. We had the eggplant with Skordalia (garlic spread), octopus and loukaniko (grilled sausage). It was excellent! We all ended up with the Pikilia (combo of the gyro, pork and beef). It was sooo delicious. The pita's came hot out of the oven. We had the yogurt with honey & walnuts, baklava and galatopouriko (custard pudding cake). We loved it! The service was excellent and the atmosphere of the restaurant was bright and cheery. Perfect location, right across from the Port Authority and right in the heart of the theatre district. I can't wait for my next visit...there is so much variety on the menu...can't wait to try something else. We definitely need a touch of Greek in that area and Dafni's hits the spot!!
