Came upon this place after a movie and had a great dinner at around 10 pm. Excellent, friendly service and wonderful food at a very reasonable price. Comfortable, quiet atmosphere. We tried the place based on the reviews on MenuPages and will go back again.

We were seated at 4:30 and were handed a lunch menu. Five minutes later the waitress handed us a dinner menu. I asked her if the prices were the same (jokingly) and she said yes. The prices were 20% higher. Who serves dinner at 4:30. Although the food was good, I probably will not be back. The service is sub-par.

After seeing a show, my family and I ventured into this restaurant. Loved it! Not only very reasonable, clean, and not overcrowded, but the food was great. While the lamb kabobs, the seafood brushette, and the spanikopita were the table favorites, there were many good dishes. We all shared 4 appetizers and ordered 5 dinners. We could have done well with 4 appetizers and then shared maybe 3 dinners. My family of 5 did not leave there hungry and we even ate dessert which is something we dont normally do. IF I had to find a negative, the only thing I can say is one more waitress on the floor would have made the service a tad better. But what a great little hidden value! We are already planning our next show and dinner out, and we will be going back to Dafni's.

The place has great food period. Our law firm orders from here all the time, the people who answer the phone are nice and the delievery time is respectable. I would HIGHLY suggest you try it out and enjoy what you have missed out on.....

Wife and I walked in, got seated quickly and had a great meal. Between us we had it all...soup, salad, appetizers, entrees. Only problem was that we literally stuffed ourselves. Both food and service were great. I have a rule that I'll never eat at the same place twice in Manhattan but I'll have to go back to Dafni next trip.

We sat down at 3:40pm and were promptly handed a lunch menu. Ten minutes later the waitress came by and took away our lunch menus and handed us dinner menus. I asked her if the prices were the same and she said "yes". The prices were not the same. The dinner prices were 15-20% higher. Why is a 3:40 seating considered dinner? I thought this was inappropriate. The food was average. We had the saganaki appetizer and spanikopita. The spanikopita was made with frozen filo but the filling was tasty. The fish dishes were well received. I had the pork souvlaki platter and there was only one stick of meat for $13.00. Not sure we'll go back.

We had a party of 13 for Christmas dinner before going to the Theatre . We had wonderful service from Milena. The appetizers of Piklilia & choice of three spreads with dolmades was a great start along with the wine. Each entree was excellent and beautifully presented. (We had requirements for several gluten free and vegetarian dishes) The portions were quite large and very delicious. Per my nephew who works and lives in the NYC area -" It is great to know there is such a good place fairly close to the theatre district."
