Another good NYC restaurant
The subway made me 45 minutes late for a pre show dinner. The host was terrific in finding us a table at the busiest time. We were served fast and pleasantly, the food was delicious, the wine smooth, the rice pudding, one of the best. Will definitely go back on a quiet night with more time.

Very Good Food, Reasonable Prices
Ate dinner there after a Saturday matinee (its right across from bus terminal). Had some nice cold greek beers, hot bread, a cold appetizer (spicey cheese) and hot appetizer (sausage and leeks). I had Pastichio and my wife Moussaka and then we topped it off with a custard type dessert and greek expresso. Food was excellent, our waitress was very attentive. It came to less than $75 plus tip which I think is quite reasonble for the location and quality of food.

Back for the 6th time
It keeps maintaining the excellent quality of the food. Best grilled whole fish (IMHO) I've had in the the city in ten years. Portions are perfect and the service is great. This is not gourmet fancy dining, just good eating in a very nice place.

Great Place in a busy part of town
Came upon this place after a movie and had a great dinner at around 10 pm. Excellent, friendly service and wonderful food at a very reasonable price. Comfortable, quiet atmosphere. We tried the place based on the reviews on MenuPages and will go back again.

Tacky service
We were seated at 4:30 and were handed a lunch menu. Five minutes later the waitress handed us a dinner menu. I asked her if the prices were the same (jokingly) and she said yes. The prices were 20% higher. Who serves dinner at 4:30. Although the food was good, I probably will not be back. The service is sub-par.

Perfect ending
After seeing a show, my family and I ventured into this restaurant. Loved it! Not only very reasonable, clean, and not overcrowded, but the food was great. While the lamb kabobs, the seafood brushette, and the spanikopita were the table favorites, there were many good dishes. We all shared 4 appetizers and ordered 5 dinners. We could have done well with 4 appetizers and then shared maybe 3 dinners. My family of 5 did not leave there hungry and we even ate dessert which is something we dont normally do. IF I had to find a negative, the only thing I can say is one more waitress on the floor would have made the service a tad better. But what a great little hidden value! We are already planning our next show and dinner out, and we will be going back to Dafni's.
