Greasy
A strange place. More waiters than sitting customers but the service was slow and disjointed. Nice decor, but really too dark. But that's ok. What's not ok is the level of grease in the food. It's a little disturbing. It's also incredibly expensive, but then you are in the W Vill, so what do you expect.

Sghetti Jerk Jam
So me and my girl go in on a Sunday as we have an occasional habit of doing since we love the spaghetti and meatballs there so much. We order two drinks, the tortilla chips and want to share the spaghetti. 20 minutes roll. We ask where our chips are, the waiter leaves and someone comes 5 minutes later with the chips. 10 minutes roll. We ask were the sghetti is and one dude says they had a fire in the kitchen but that they will have it in 10 if we wait. We wait 15 minutes then some dude shows up with chips again. im like "no, we want our sghetti not chips, we had those already while ago" hes like "talk to a manager". im like "why?" leaves, then Caribbean queen comes over says, "oh we had a fire in the kitchen, do you still want your meal cuz it will take 15-20" im like "uh, someone promised that before and was supposed to bring it long ago, you could have told us it was not gonna be ready for nearly an hour. Thats too long now. Its 930 and we gotta eat and go home so please comp these chips and well pay for the two rum and cokes and go.I mean, chips cost nothing, but they do cost like 9 bux here." shes like "oh no, nobody else asked for anything why should you?" im like "uh...wait a minute, we are not everybody else, we are the folks talking to you right now, this is a huge inconvenience and we are going home hungry." shes like "well, its an inconvenience for us that the kitchen be broken so it no matter you are inconvenience" im on fire now..."listen, im walking outta here. You just lost yourself a loyal customer." shes all jerk chicken and says "we have plenty customer." wow. never back.

Doesn't Live Up to its Potential...
I live on this block and have tried to learn to like Daddy-O. I think it is a great spot and like the space - I understand it used to be much better with the prior owner. My issues after dining/drinking here 10 or so times are: the service is extremely slow (particularly the food service) and the food is not very good. The pluses are the drinks are good and it is frequented by an older crowd (i.e. mid-late 20s) then some of the other bars nearby.

Plain and simple high quality food
This place is good. Im glad they just started serving lunch because I work in the neighborhood but live too far for dinner delivery. Nonetheless, the chicken sandwich, burger, tater tots, are all among the best I've had. No fancy frills or frou frou ingredients- just plain, high quality grub. Watch out though- bar is small and can get loud and crowded very fast!!!

A great place to hang!
Very dark, lit at night by the light of the bar and votives on the tables. Thought the drinks were reasonable, probably because the power bill is not too high! This joint was cool! Drinks were great, great price and great selection of originals, Phil is incredible!! Sat around and played cards, talked, met lots of great people (including Daisy!) through 2 votive candles. Never waited for a drink, but had to wait for the bathroom a couple times. Have recommended lots of people, and have heard of a couple great star sightings.

open till 4am
I love this bar! the drinks are great and the service is on point for a place with no wait staff. It's also the best place in the village to grab a bite to eat late night. The kitchen (which is open till 4 am) pumps out great burgers and pub grub. Try the chicken sandwich you won't be disappointed. The bar is stocked with liquor and the bartenders are friendly and make great cocktails. definitely a bar to stop in when downtown.

best food
I have always had the best service and food at Daddy-o, what makes this place special is that the owner, Phil is always around and with a smile. He never forgets a face and genuinly makes sure that everyone is accomodated. The food is always good and consistent. It is suprising the high quality of food that is served from a tiny corner kitchen. Thumbs up for the cooks and management.
