A Great Lunch
First time in for a meal. The Prix Fixe was a good value. It was crowded but we got seated right away. The service was very good.We were not rushed. The waiter did return to check on our meal. Got out in time to buy tickets at TKTS for a matinee show.

Excellent!
We were headed to another restaurant when a nice lady shoved a menu in our hands and and told us there was no waiting at Da Rosina. We were delighted we tried it. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. We all had the $30 special (included any starter, entree and dessert). I had the Caeser Salad, Chicken Marsala and Italian Cheesecake. My entree came with fresh steamed broccoli and carrots. We consider ourselves experts on Italian Food and this lovely restaurant left a wonderful impression. Brava!

Salty food, cheesecake un-eatable
Decided to go to Da Rosina for a dinner in search of good Italian. We we very disappointed. The clams for antipasti was the best part of the dinner. My wife had Ceasar's salad and it was not very good. We had veal and chicken for main course and boy it was salty. You could only taste salt and we wondered whether they were hiding something with the salt.. Tha pasta was OK though. Cheesecake for dessert was totally un-eatable. It was dry it had no taste whatsoever. We hardly leave anything eaten, but this time we hade to. The service was OK but the restaurant was noisy and we were packed into a tiny 2-seat table. I would not go there again. And was so disappointed as it was our last dinner in our NYC trip.

reservations are a joke
I made a reservation for a pre theater dinner Dec. 18th. When I arrived the place was packed and walk-ins were being seated as tables became available along with the people who had reservations. The hostess had a list of reservations, but it meant nothing. Your name went on the same walk-in list with no preference. The food was mediocre at best. I would never go back to this restaurant.

Poor management
I made reservations at DaRosina over a month ago thru their online system and received a confirmation e-mail. When I got there yesterday they told me they had no reservation for me and had no tables available. I showed him the confirmation but he was unbothered, too busy serving the jam packed restaurant that was so noisy you couldn't hear yourself speak. Well that was my first and last experience with this restaurant, won't make plans to go back there any time soon. Not even an apology for screwing up my reservation, his only defense was, "we don't have a computer". Well if that's the case, how was I able to make an online reservation. I went a few door down to my favorite restaurant.

Great Value in Theatre District
My 5-gal office staff went there for dinner first Friday in Dec. 09. We chose it because it was in walking distance to our Broadway show. The prices were better than most. We ordered four appetizers to share, and they encouraged us to get all five... since the pre fixe dinner included it anyway. They advised us that special entrees that were higher priced would also be included in the pre fixe. We went there not even knowing about the pre fixe dinner ($28 includes appy, coffee and dessert). Food was very good... and they got us in and out in plenty of time for show. No-one had a bad meal, and when they forgot the pasta on the special fish two gals ordered, they apologized and came right out with it.

A Joke!
Cocktails were abominable. who does not know how to make a martini? Service putrid. Main entry (the seafood special) was sword fish out of grocery freezer. This rat trap should not be placed in the category of theatre district restaurants to deceive innocent theatre goers. it was a rip off.
