Second time I've been there. The first time was better, but not much. This time they charged a service charge of 12.95 for "the flowers and music" but it's "not a tip". The house salad with housemade dressing was out of a bag with bottled creamy dressing. The trout with caper sauce was funky. The desserts are WAY overpriced AND the tiramasu (made in house, I was assured) was dreadful and I could only eat two bites. The wine was OK, but overpriced, and even the coffee was crap. Service was friendly, but uneven- four people all over you one minute and off somehere else (3 tables in the whole restaurant) the next. The best thing I ate was the fruit on the dessert plate. Skip it.

Went for dinner after seeing a show. The food was good, but a little pricey. The unexpected service charge that appears on your bill is enough to ruin your meal. The waitress explained that this was not a gratuity. It certainly was that night! I eat dinner out at least twice a week and have never encountered an added service charge. This is a big scam for added revenue. Diners Beware!!

Had a meal in da marino on a recent visit to new york, we stayed in the crowne plaza so this place was right outside the rear enterance to the hotel. Was in a party of 3, all had the pasta dishes, which were average, food was very overpriced, and service was poor, restaurant was also very cold. Our main concern with this restaurant was that our bill included an 18% service charge, but on the waitress handing me the bill she kindly advised me that the tip was not included in the bill, on opening the bill i was shocked to see that the service charge was included, i never come across a waitress as rude to ask for a tip when a service charge had been included in the bill. I paid the bill including the service charge only, but now regret not complaining to the manager about what happened and regret even paying the service charge, the waitress knew we were tourists and thought she would take advantage....So be warned!!

Lunch was fine and then the bill. There is a service charge added to the BILL. It's not even a tip, it's an actual service charge. NO THANK YOU. I'll never go back. If you can't afford toilet paper, washing dishes, and anything else that goes with owning a restaurant, don't own a restaurant.

A great place for everyone. The service was great. They never hesitated to modify the menu to satisfy our requests. The atmosphere is pleasant but keep your distance from the piano. Reasonably priced for a family of four on vacation and living it up . A place you may become a regular at if you were local. Overall a great dining experience at the end of a busy sightseeing day in the city.

Have been there a few times already..And each time I am pleasantly surprised how delicious the food is. Would totally recomend.Enjoy it every time, everything is always extremely fresh and so flavorful. Recommend the arugula salad with shrimp and the chicken francaise . Very cosy interior as well , romantic atmosphere .
