Our favourite place in New York!

We stumbled across this really pretty lit up restuarant and were welcomed in. We have never been treated so kindly, the staff were lovely, attentive and great company. The food was exquisite. Try the ravioli and brushetta's, you will not be disappointed. Drinks were reasonably priced and the prosecco was lovely :) The deco of the place was hand painted and made you feel as if you had escaped to italy, and i must mention it is worth a trip to the toilets. Words cannot describe how amazing it is. The atmosphere with the singing and music was fantastic. We were welcomed up to dance and sing with the staff and it was a truly fun, exciting night that will never be forgotten. We will definately be visiting 100% again.

    What's the big deal

Live and dine in NYC...this place is way overrated...service is great if that is all you are looking for. Way overpriced...to many great neighborhood Italian Rest. in the city to stop here.

    Filet Mignon

Went with my wife to dinner on a Saturday night in January. The waitress was terrific. My wife ordered from the menu. A delicious home-made pasta dish with meat sauce. Very good. I ordered one of the specials for the night. Filet Mignon with a Chianti wine reduction sauce. I chose to have it with pasta and not spinach and mashed potatoes. The steak was ordered medium rare, and came out rare. I had to send it back. The steak was swimming in the sauce. Way too much of it! It came back cooked medium rare. This special was $55/ Unfortunately, you could not enjoy the flavor of the steak covered in such a salty type of sauce. The rigitoni, with marinara sauce, also, had to be sent back. It was as hard as a rock. The marinara sauce was nothing special and very disappointing. This was our 3rd dining experience here, and probably our last. Too many mistakes for the exorbitant prices. I think this is a great place to go to for drinks and music. Dinner elsewhere.

    Expensive

We got fooled by the waiter, our bill came to $137.00 for one beer, one pesce blanco and one lamb chops dish, we couldnt believe it when we saw the bill, we were robbed by friendly people

Great entertainment, not so great service

Dropped in spur of the moment...the lights outside caught our attention...it was definitely cozy and festive inside. The live music was great fun! The food was terrific...our service wasn't so hot...agree with other reviewer that the waitress wasn't too interested in us and didn't check on us at all... It was very pricey and while I could justify the price for the food and entertainment, the service was not up to that same level.

    Nice place

Had a great meal last night. Food was fantastic and ambience is great with the piano! Love the lights and decor. The greeter outside was friendly and chatty with the kids. Had a reservaton but the 4 of us ended up being seated at a very small cocktail table for 2. A little bit of a struggle with the large plates of pasta we ordered. Only negative was the service. Waitriss was disinterested and scowled when we asked for something. We expected much better service for the price. The host stopped by a couple of times to see how everything was and he was great. Expensive but expected in NYC. Had no 'ambience' charge mentioned in other reviews. Will definitely go back!

    Best romantic place in town!

I absolutely loved this little restaurant! What a great romantic hole in the wall full of great food and great service! Being Italian and from up state this is as close as it gets to my grandmothers cooking. The prices is not bad for NYC! The atmosphere was relaxed yet full of energy. Made me feel right at home. The food was unbelievable! I make a point to eat there every time I'm in the City! This is most definitely a place to try for yourself!! I've never heard someone complain about spending $50 for a steak at some Chain restaurant. And then you have to order sides seperate! I think it's a great value and great atmosphere! And if you like Italian... you'll LOVE this place!
