we ate there last night and chose from the specials offered. Not that good and way overpriced. 2 salads, fish special ($48!) and pasta special ($35 for fettucine with3 shrimp and a few clams - little taste) total $107 !! There was a cheesy lounge singer/pianist which was too loud. SO many excellent Italian in NYC - skip this place!

My husband and I were in the city on Saturday, Dec. 15th. It was quite crowded and we had no reservations, so we felt very fortunate to find a welcome door at Da Marina. It provided more than we could ever have anticipated. In spite of the crowds, we were seated quickly and never felt rushed during our dining. Salvatore waited our table, providing excellent suggestions and professionalism - with perfectly timed attention. This was true of all the staff who attended us. Our food and wine were the very best. We also very much enjoyed the music and talented piano player. If we hadn't had a show to go to, we may still be there.

Stumbled upon Da Marina because it was next to our hotel. From the champaign stuck in our hands 30 seconds after we sat down to the hug from the Chef when we left 2 hours later it was great. The piano player was great and played a fun variety. Not only was the food fantastic, it was the most fun I ever had at a restaurant.

Been to Marino's for years. It just keeps getting better just like a fine bottle of wine. The chef is outstanding. He will visit your table and if you can't find what you want on the menu he will fix it for you. My girlfriend said she feels like a princess every time we go there. Wow...also an evening of the best entertainment. You will no only want to come back, you will not want to leave. This is the place to go when in New York City for food, cocktails and entertainment. Look around, never know who you may see at a table or the very long bar.

We had not been to this fabulous place before. Came for lunch, came back for dinner. We felt so welcome and were entirely removed from the hustle of the City. We were the center of attention at all times and felt the other guests were enjoying the same experience. I overheard the Chef explaining the evening specials to a Server. They were as excited talking about it as we were while eating it. Some time during lunch we must have been overheard speaking of my Wife's Birthday. At Dinner she was celebrated with a fabulous desert compliments of the Chef. We have decided that this will be our mid-town stop for fun and food from now on.

My wife and I felt welcomed from the moment we took our first step inside..the doorman, the manager, our waitress, the Chef, and pianist, were over the top in their friendliness. This is the reason I laugh at the bad rap New Yorkers get. We felt as if we knew them forever and that made every diner friends with the table next to them. The food was outstanding...best fried calamari I have ever had. My wife cried because the Caesar salad was just like her Grandma Lucy's. My flounder and cavatelli was superb, perfectly all dente Lello! Portions were huge and the service impeccable. Pricey? Yes but you certainly didn't mind given the wonderful experience...coming back thanksgiving...You better be open
