One of the Best
One of the best indian food on curry hill, very underrated but they have the best authentic use of spice and biryani. 5 star

Gotten worse
The food this last time was boring, mushy, and not at all flavorful. Also, I think that the waiters must be instructed to pour and pour whatever wine or beer you ordered, as soon as the glass is even a bit less full, perhaps to get you to order more. Finally, as nice as the waiter was, it was very hard to understand his English pronunciation. I remember liking this place years ago, but will not go there again.

Great food, ambience is endearing
The food was awesome. We had a mix of people who liked spicy and liked mild, and they catered to all our whims and needs. Service was exceptional; we had several people who were new to Indian food, and the staff made extra care to ensure it was a great first experience! The decor is a little run down, but it reminds me of the way Curry Hill used to be in the 80s and 90s, with a warm nostalgic feeling that is sadly lost as the high end (and overpriced, quite frankly) Indian restaurants take over the neighborhood (and indeed the city) I will definitely be going back

You can do better
Stumbled into this place after first two choices for dinner had a wait. The food was fine, as well as the service, but nothing special. I've had a lot better Indian in the city.

save your money
waiter service good until food came; ordered mild food, wrong order delivered, had to wait till they prepared right food, not even an apology, food came, was too spicy to eat. portion size was tiny. waiters did not come over to ask how food was or to replenish water which was needed due to the hotness of the food. there are too many other indian restairants in the neighborhood to ever go back there again

service isn't great but good food
My friend and i went there last night - she ordered the fish curry dish - the fish was hard and chewy - not the way it's supposed to taste obviously - the rest of her dish (the curry) was good. I ordered the seafood bryani and it was delicious. My guess is that the bad fish was a fluke. All this being said, the service was horrible. They literally skipped over us every time they served water to the tables around us. They did not check on us one time and didn't even mutter a word when they dropped off the check (like thanks, etc.). I have been told that they don't like Indian customers and my friend is Indian (we're not sure if that had anything to do w/ it). I would not go back there as there are so many other options in the neighborhood.

If you don't believe me, go ahead knock yourself out
Great food for somebody who has not tasted good Indian food before. Advertised as south asian food; NOT AT ALL. Unless, northern india is considered south asian. HA! bland..bland..bland
