This restaurant is simple the best Indian food I have had for a while. I have eaten there no at least 10 times and without exception the food was really good and I had no after effects so to speak.

We ordered the chicken tikka masala and a saag chicken. The tikka masala was undercooked and watery, the saag chicken was rubbery...the naan was clearly old. The only thing that worked here was the delivery and the person taking the order but that doesn't quite satisfy. I rarely post on this thing but the food was so bad and my stomach is now rumbling so aggressively that I had to say something....I won't be ordering from this place again

Small but very inviting restaurant. At first I thought it was mostly for take-out, but the inside is very nicely decorated and pleasant. Service was very good and the food also. Highly recommend it.

Tonight was my first time ordering takeout from Curry Kitchen, and I was impressed. We ordered samosas, raita, onion naan, saag panir, and chana masala. In the future, I probably won't order a side of raita, since the meal comes with a small plastic cup of it anyway. Also, the samosas come with a side of chickpeas, so I probably shouldn't have ordered the chana masala. Despite my idiotic ordering, the portions were generous (we basically have enough leftover for dinner tomorrow night) and the food was terrific. I hope this restaurant does well on 8th St! Note: I gave "atmosphere" a 3.0 but I have no idea what the place is like on the inside since I ordered takeout.

My family was in town from Philly and we were walking around the West Village when we saw a sign announcing the Grand Opening of the Curry Kitchen. The owner was so gracious throughout our meal, taking pains to ensure that we had everything we needed. I had the Crabcakes for appetizer and the Curry Shrimp for an entree and both were very tasty with just the right amount of spice. My mother, father and brother also really enjoyed their meals. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and we didn't feel rushed at all. I recommend Curry Kitchen wholeheartedly. I know I will be back when I have the craving for Indian food and I am wandering around the Village.
