Parents
I disagree with the poster from London. My parents were coming from Zagreb and wanted a great indian meal. I took them to Curry in a Hurry, and they were so happy. They were going to get a massage afterward, but then they were so relaxed and happy after the meal that they didn't need the massage. In that sense Curry in a Hurry was actually a net gain since they saved money!

True to it's name
It always seems like every cab driver iin the city eats there, and with good reason. Inexpensive and tasty, it's a must!

The best curry ever!
I went to NYC for a vacation with my dad and lil sis, last year in jan, my uncle who is a close friend of my dad's brought us to a indian restaurant... at first it didn't look like a enchanting place to eat... got a bit demotivated... i saw the food and my first thought was... ew... but then i tasted the food and wow... i can't even put down how incredible delicious the food was! Just thinking about the food makes me drools until now! It was the best curry i've ever tasted in my whole life! It was just would give anything to eat at that restaurant again! It is one of my most recommended restaurant to go when in NYC or even in AMERICA! You must go to this restaurant!! ><

Cheap but terrible food
Curry in a hurry has its days when it's decent, but majority of time it's below average Most of the food is so overcooked that the spinach tasted the same as paneer after a few hours in the kitchen. Sure it's cheap, but there are better options.

Don't believe the hype!
After looking on menupages at all of the good reviews, I thought this place would be a safe bet... It was not. My parents were visting from London and wanted some good Indian food. This was a severe disappointment. The server was rude, the food was a disappointment. I couldn't eat the chicken tikka. My salty lassie was not salty at all and when I complained the waiter opened the salt shaker on the table next to us and poured it in! Needless to say, it was not good. The only thing that was OK was the lamb vindaloo which my dad ordered... Not really understanding all the good reviews...

Good Old Curry In a Hurry
For many years Curry in a Hurry has been a favorite of the foreignwalas/deshi/videshi community in New York. Their biriani, if you get it freshly made, is better than any Indian restaurant I know of in New York. Or anywhere in the US, I would bet. I always like their veggies. Some members of my family think the food is spicy. The place is a bit funky--hey, it's curry in a hurry--but it's inexpensive and I think the food is better than a lot of more expensive places. We usually get takeout because you get so much you can feed the family dinner and lunch the next day.

Good food, decent price, decent service
I like the food - for the price, it's very reasonable. I ate upstairs with a friend. The service was very good - surprising for a buffet-style place like that. I like the sauces and the portions are large. Even though we waited in a long line, it went quickly and we found a seat upstairs. Very nice!
