Food is great, atmosphere is nonexistant
stopped in on xmas eve after mass at st. patricks with family, read glowing reviews online which attracted my attention, no one mentioned that the place is devoid of any color, pictures on the walls, music etc..food & service lived up to hype, but a little effort to create some cozy atmosphere would have made it even nicer. Good thing we made our own party!

The Best Kept Secret in the City
Cucina Vivolo is a restaurant that is warm, welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere of this restaurant is like that of an old New York townhouse which is very cozy and sophisticated for its Lexington Ave. neighborhood. It has plenty of routine customers that have been pleased with their service for years and honestly does not need to bring out the bells and whistles to entice guests. We were greeted in a pleasant manner by the Madreād. Upon arriving to our table, our waiter was very friendly and helpful when suggesting a bottle of wine for our taste (a fantastic wine that we now have in our collection). The menu selection was detailed and comfortable making you feel as though you were at Mama's house in Italy. Each dish is carefully created to satisfy your expectation just enough without leaving you hungry or overstuffed. The desert tasted like a delicious homemade treat completely satisfying our expectations. The bottom line is that Cucina Vivolo is a wonderful restaurant for those that enjoy classic, sophisticated and home style Italian restaurants. It has to be the best kept secret in the city.

Great place for Italian!
Ventured here for lunch at the recommendation of a friend. The food is very good, and the prices are exceptionally reasonable for the quality. The decor is a little minimal, but the food made up for the starkness of the interior. The service was also good, the courses were served in a timely manner. I would definitely eat here again!

The best lunch on the UES
I can't tell you how many times I have left Bar Vivolo and Cuccina Vivolo with a smile on my face. The food is always fresh and amazing, the service as warm as can be, and delivery is fast. I have become addicted to their paninis. They have the best Chicken Parmasan Sandwhich in New York.... hands down-- though they call it the milano. Time to order one :)

You can't beat this neighborhood gem
WOW!... Everytime I come I walk in with a grin that you dont see very often, just knowing that I am about to eat some of the best Italian in the city, and my paycheck wont be dented... at all! From the gnocchi, to the tortellini, burger, the steak, and the scallops, its all amazing, and CHEAP! Also, you order a glas of wine, and they give you a third of a bottle, the drinks are great and cheap and the service is AMAZING! I love Vivolo (Or Bar Vetro) and will keep on going.

Clean and fresh
It's delicious fresh, and so tasty. Very Italian style. And they're oen until 11 p.m. so you can order anytime. I wish more awful sandwich shops in NY would learn from this one...a great example.
