Cucina Di Pesce

Wow, this place was amazing! I took my parents here (I find it so difficult to find a restaurant for parents) last weekend, and I must say I was impressed! First of all, the food is CHEAP. And don't let that scare you, it's also delicious. We sat in the back room (it was a little quieter- again, we were with parents and they like it that way) and there is a fireplace as well. Very nice! The waiter was extremely knowledgable, all the staff were helpful and attentive. The food was delicious, my mother had the lasagna, it was the best thing on our table! I had the whole fish, filleted, and it was light and tasty- and it came with pasta. Pleanty of food to go around. For dessert I had the tiramisu, which I didn't care for (I like it on the firm side, this was more creamy) and the waiter swiftly took it away and brought me another, the cheesecake...mmmm....cheesecake! IT ROCKED! Thank you Cucina Di Pesce, we will be back, without the parents too!

After moving to CT 6 years ago from NY, the one thing I truly miss is eating a great homemade Italian meal with great prices and service. It's nice to come back and see some things haven't changed. Consistency is the key to a great restaurant and this is the place! They even offer an early bird dinner menu, unheard of in NY! Everything is fresh, the pasta is homemade and they serve complimentary mussels marinara at the bar, (absolutely yummy!). The service is 5+! Take it from a New Yorker, if you're visiting and want to feel like a local, this is the place!

I found this randomly while browsing through menupages and it turned out to be a really awesome place! Love the atmosphere and the food. Their drinks aren't that great, but they easily made it up with their desserts. Definitely will go back again soon!

The hommade pasta is great--the Spinach penne actually \like Spinach--and the Pumkin ravioli--ah what can i say about that...delish. The fried calamari was very tasty as well. Service was very attentive and speedy. My sister has gone back twice since our dinner--an even ordered in once and has had only positive things to say. For the price--this is a great place. I will definitely be back.

One of the worst meals I have had in a long time. I went for dinner tonight based on all the great reviews. My friend and I sat in back in a very pretty garden expecting a good dining experience. Now we both feel sick from the salty greasy food. I had the linguine vongole- terrible - no flavor except salt. He had the fish special - that came highly recommended by the waiter. The fish was just alright but no real flavor and the only option was a heavy butter sauce - the kind you get in a Friendlys or other family chain. The steamed vegetables seemed like they came precut out of a freezer -again no flavor. This place sucks - I do not know where the people who lauded and applauded this place are used to eating but if you know anything about fresh fish and Italian cuisine then this is NOT the place for you.

I visited Cucina last night for the first time and was really impressed. The food was classic and solid Italian fare. We tried the seafood lasagna, and the grilled salmon. Both were excellent and well prepared. Cucina won't blow you away with creative Italian dishes if you're looking for that sort of thing, but if you're in the mood for some great Italian comfort food, you can't beat Cucina. The only drawback to the experience was the decibel level.

First of all, the delivery dude took 5 minutes and we weren't even ready for the food... i guess we should have ordered the tuna medium instead of medium rare. We opened up the package and Voila, out came not one, but two things of parmesan cheese! MY FAVORITE! that's not all. they also gave us this wierd green bean potato slaw thing which we weren't sure what to do with-- carrots in there too. the noodles that come with the tuna steak are so garlicy goodness, i can't even explain. long story short, get the pumpkin ravioli because it's like pumpkin pie with pesto on it. My girlfriend gave the cats some of the tuna... I'm so pissed about that. love, louie
