You get what you pay for
Wanted to like this place but the food was bland and unimaginative. Think frozen italian food you buy at the supermarket. My favorite part of the meal was the bread. It is inexpensive which is fine if you are a broke college student but anyone who expects italian food better than they would get at an average pizzeria will be disappointed. When you see the tacky electric fish outside... walk on by

Best Value/simple done great
Here's what good about this place: 1) Great Food. 2) Prices are great. 3) Service is simple and quick. 4) entree portions are jsut right. Not too much and not too little. Cons: 1) Fresh Mozz and Tomoatoes was too tiny. Other than that i have nothing but goodness for this quaint and rusticly romantic italian restaurant.

great italian food!
not many people know of this place since it is kind of hidden. the food is great, the prices are very good, and so is the place! the only thing is that it may be a tad dark there so it was hard to read the menu but other than that it was great!

What happened?
I went to this place two years ago and the food wasn't this bad. I just went there this weekend and was very disappointed with the food. First of all, my first glass of water had hair in it. Then they replaced it and it smelled like they washed it with an overnight mop. I think that is why they dim the light so low so you can't tell what you're drinking/eating. My food was overgrilled (burnt) and the side was way to salty. The only good thing about the entire dinner was the dessert (creme brulee). Sigh... never going back again, especially for dinner on a weekend!!!

Does me right everytime
I love this place. I take everyone I know here. The early bird special is an incredible deal. Highly recommend it and everything else on the menu.

Solid
Second time here and have been happy with the food, service and atmosphere on both occasions. I have been here with a party of four and a party of five and everyone was pleased with their food choices. The prices make it a great value. Can't go wrong. It is too bad that they only accept Amex though.

Best Italian food in Manhattan!
This place has everything going for it. Great food, service, price and location. They have very nice bar and a garden area to sit in the summer. Check it out!
