Awesome gauzzetto
I have only visited New York once(St Patrick's Day 2011) and it will never be forgotten. This was my goodbye lunch to New York, I travelled back to London UK soon after.Along with the my brother's great family, I enjoyed a great lunch before I returned home to my family. To tell you the truth I didn't want to leave my brother nor Cucina's. Maybe, a lottery win will come my way and I can come back. To all at Cucina's, Keep up the Good Work..... Great Job ! Garry

Really great find in mid town
we love this place. the food is consistently good and they are always changing up the menu. Wait staff is attentive as well and they are one of the remaining few places that refills your soft drinks for free. most of the people in my office that actually take lunch usually frequent cuccina. I would recommend it for a casual experience where excellent food is served. **Suggestion to Management: bring back the original "chop chop salad"!!**

Great food for lunch
I've come into Cucina for lunch a few times and it never disappoints. Its central location makes it an ideal place to meet colleagues. The prices are reasonable, so I feel comfortable suggesting it when asked for an easy lunchtime recommendation. The food is good, and I tend to order whatever they have as the special.

Overcharged and Disappointed
A colleague of mine just paid $3 for a clam shell with 3 small slices of tomato in it. The tomatoes were past their best to boot! Unless they come with a Valet to feed them to you, that is inordinately expensive even by NYC standards. They should feel embarrased for charging what they do for the poor quality hash they sling. Have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they continue to overcharge and disappoint.

Nice place to have a meal before a game
Went there before a yankees game do to price and ease of getting on a subway to the stadium. The food amounts were very filling and taste was much better than expected. Service was promt but not annoying as it can be in some places. This is a place I would highly consider any time I am in the city. For the money it was right on the mark, Bravo

Very nice for informal dinner
We have had dinner at Cucina a number of times. It's informal but really nice. Its' convenient to Grand Central (down the hall) and has a really good fixed price dinner for two - now $31 FOR TWO!!. Also, with that a glass of house wine is only $4. We have tried the salmon and the very fine roast chicken- they are both very good. The a la cart menu is well priced as well. The service is competent, not elegant( this is not a 4 star restaurant). Last time the manager came over to see how everything was - a nice touch which many " hot" expensive restaurants don't seem to care about these days. If you are seeing a show or have another event and are coming into the city with Metro North, try this place. You should not be disappointed.

Need to take out a loan....
OK I realize it's midtown, but they're way overpriced and they do charge you .25 for any additional butter pats if you asked for more than the standard 2 pats. Prices are excluding tax so you'll pay even more when you check out...and don't expect a courteous or pleasant disposition on the way out. The food is generally good and fresh but at a cost.
