mediocre taste! Loads of Fat!!!
First the chocolate icing does NOT taste like chocolate at all. With all the amazing authentic NYC bakeries, why come here?!?!?!? I guess it's trendy. I LOVE cupcakes but, this place is a lot of pretty packaging, attractive displays, and hype.The strawberry frosted I expected more from- the cupcake was okay but, honestly Duncan Hines Yellow Cake is much better! I am not saying the strawberry frosting is bad but, Dunkin Donuts has BETTER strawberry frosting. One plus- it's ALWAYS fresh and the cupcakes are giant and filling and satisfying (the plain vanilla with vanilla icing has 780 calories though, watch out! ) Even the brownie cupcake its mediocre. I recommend Veniero's, DeRobertis, and Tribeca Treats for great cupcakes / cake.

Like nothing else!
Sometimes I read a book that everyone has raved about and say "I didn't like it as much as they did ... did I miss something?!" I've been saying the same thing about the cupcakes at Magnolia and Billy's for years ... the lines at Magnolia are STILL out the door, people STILL rave about them ... yet I have always found their cupcakes to be tewrribly dry, even when they're "fresh." Same with Billy's. CRUMBS cupcakes are amazing. Their variety is incredible something for EVERYBODY! I prefer take-out to dining there ... especially because their plastic take-out containers guarantee your cupcakes stay perfect! Magnolia, Billy's et al should learn from them!

Best in NYC!
These are the best black and white cookies and best cupcakes in NYC, and other good things as well. Instead of just being goppy, they have a good crumb and a good flavor and a great balance of frosting and cake. And the black and white cookies have just the right amount of lemon flavor and that crisp crackly frosting. Totally worth it and better than everything else.

BEST cupcakes
Crumbs may not get the publicity other city cupcakes do but they absolutely deserve it! These are by far the best cupcakes I've had, and that is coming from a fellow baker and sweet-a-holic. The different flavors are creative and all very delicious. For first timers I highly reccomend the sampler of mini cupcakes. Enjoy!

Cupcakes here are huge and amazing. Try the cappuccino or oreo.
