This is my new go to place for brunch in the hood. 2 mimosas plus a huge entree for $15. It is probably more known in the summer for the large outdoor part, but dont let that stop you from coming in the winter. There is a cozy fireplace. Graham the manager is awesome and always sends over a free drink for having become a regular. The burger is the best Ive had on the south side, beating out Dumont. All should try!

Prices are reasonable and this is a GREAT outdoor spot for group drinks when the weather is fair enough. The brunch deal is pretty good - $15 for an entree and two (although small with little alcohol) drinks. The service, however, might be the poorest in the area and therefore I will never return for food. Always appears to be under-staffed and the waitstaff is perpetually in a mood as a result. On most recent visit we walked in with our dog and asked the waitress if we could sit at the front table. She gave us a gruff yes and 15 mins later she plopped a menu down, no water, and turned on her heel as we tried to get her attention to ask a question (about our dog's presence). Another 10 mins later she came to take our order and seeing me playing with my dog, said flatly "we can't have dogs here". We got up without a word frustrated and as we walked away she gave a sarcastic "Sorry". Made us feel terrible. Bathroom lines are also ridiculous when crowded. There are too many other places in the area, not returning.

I've been here before for brunch with friends and it was really good, but they just opened for lunch, so I figured I'd give it a try. I had the fish and chips, which was tasty and came with homemade tartar sauce. I'm originally from London and while the fish wasn't quite the same as a traditional British fish and chips, it was still excellent. The chips were actually really close to what I'm used to from back home, thick cut and done well, I was very happy to find that! I live nearby, so I'll drop by again for sure!

My husband and I had brunch here today. We were sat down right away, the service was fast and super friendly. The food was excellent and an amazing deal, we both had the goat cheese omelets, my husband had a side of bacon and the prix fix special with bloody marys. He really liked the drink, said it was spicy and tasty. My only critique is that the omelet (goat cheese and tomato) and salad (greens and sun dried tomato) each could have used one more ingredient just to add a bit more variety and make them outstanding but they were yummy and the homefried potatoes were absolutely perfectly cooked, crispy and brown. The music was old R+B which i really enjoyed. It had a few police posters framed as wall decor which i thought was a cool touch as homage to Crown Vics as the classic cop car. I think it could use some more decoration actually but that could just be because it's new. They have lots of tables outside in the front and a HUGE back area with lots of seating if you just want to have a drink. I'm so happy to have another great brunch place for us southsiders! Someone needs to tell all those people waiting for 75 minutes at Egg!

$15 brunch on Saturday and Sundays from 12-5..and get this..it comes with not one, not two, but THREE drinks. Best deal in town, and the food is awesome. Their backyard is amazing also when the weather is nice..it's enormous and there are fun games and even a fire pit to sit by. It's kid friendly which is a big plus to families in the neighborhood. Def my weekend spot!

This new bar is pretty close to my apartment and I've been in for drinks in their crazy huge back yard a few times. decided to get some food last time and had the beer battered fish and chips. I thought it was excellent. tried my friend's pulled pork sandwich too and thought it was real good. overall, I'm glad these guys opened here, s2nd is becoming quite the foodie street.
