I stumbled across the Crosby Connection while crossing houston. I got a sandwich and it was the smoothest and cleanest tasting sandwich I have ever eaten. Hardly left an aftertaste in my mouth. However it was bursting with flavor and yet it was light and subtle. They use top notch, very fresh ingredients. The sandwiches are large and very satisfying and also very refreshing. I will be sure to stop by the Crosby connection everytime I am in the area. (very friendly people there too!)

Sandwiches are big, cheap, and delicious, which is an unusual combo in NYC. If there was one of these on every corner instead of Subway I would be a happy camper! Seriously my mouth is watering just thinking about the yumminess of this place!

If you want a cheap and fantastic sandwich, this is the place. Superfriendly and so good I can hardly stand it. Everything they put on these sandwiches is utterly fresh and at the peak of goodness. Fab bread. Perfect size. Finger-licking good.

I would go here almost daily if I could. Great sandwhiches, friendly staff. Sure it literally is a hole in the wall, but at least you get the fresh air while waiting, so that's a plus for atmosphere :D The Crosby Special is the bomb, as is the Turkey Brie Pear and the Jerk Chicken. Hell it's all great!

Despite NYC's reputation for deli sandwiches, they aren't all that good - just lots of meat, sometimes the bread is good and the sauces/dressings almost always leave something to be desired - - Crosby's sandwiches, on the other hand, have the best ingredient's I've tasted in NYC and the value is great ($5). I wish they would franchise to other cities or at least uptown.

To give this eatery a 5 out of 5 is not nearly enough. It has so much going for it you wonder why there isn't a lineup at all times. The owner Joey buys only the freshest ingredients made on gourmet breads, served up with herbs, veggies, fruits and cheeses to make a sandwich that you can't help MMM'ing about while you eat. Suzy serves up her special namesake sandwich with a smile and her soups and brownies are fresh and delicious. Johnny cracks jokes that make you go "huh?" and serves lemonade and ice tea, or a combo of both. Prices are low and that certain "je ne sais quoi" is off the rails.

All sandwhiches are made when you place your order and they always use fresh ingredients. The folks there are very friendly and laid back. It's a definite favorite among the many nearby high-priced restaurants. The only drawback is there's no place to sit- but the benches in front of the nyu gym are only a couple blocks away.
