    Not just Crepes, great food

I love the 'Crooked Cutlet'. This place makes great sandwiches and they have sliders too. And I really feel you get good value here as well. The atmosphere is also awesome and it's a nice place to join a friend or two for a quick meal at night. They play great Ethnic chill music and I like the decor. I've heard varying takes on the service, and yea' it might not be perfect, there are usually only 2-3 people there, all men. But it has never been bad for me. Try this place out!

    Guys

The food is OK, though in the East Village you really can do a lot better, especially when it comes to the service. The place lacks a basic professional outlook which is no surprise when you figure out that 'the guys', as mentioned in the other reviews, are a bunch of men who think quite highly of themselves. No women work here. Maybe students unfamiliar with the neighborhood will be perfectly satisfied here.

    Excellent Crepes

I loved the crepes that they served and the service was great. We went there right before seeing "The Blue Man Group" Our waiter was cute and he was very pleasant and friendly. I thought the prices were also excellent and I would love to dine again soon.

    Great Crepes, Not Great Delivery

I do very much like the crepes at Crooked Tree. I've been stopping in for a few years now, and have tried most of the crepes on their menu. And in-person, the guys that work there are very friendly. They are warm and welcoming. However, it is a totally opposite case when you try to order delivery. I have probably tried to order delivery 100 times over the last few years. I only live 3 blocks away. Each time I call, I am asked where I live. And when I tell the guy on the phone, he will usually say, "Not right now. But if you call back in an hour or two, maybe." Or he will waiver, and then say, "um, well, um, not right now. I don't think so. Sorry." And hang up the phone, without any explanation. I think I've only actually had food delivered 3 times, out of all those phone calls. And that was only because I said in those few calls that it was really frustrating to call all the time, and always be getting a different response. If they offer delivery service, they should do what every other restaurant in Manhattan does - and hire a couple of people to make their deliveries for them! Or then don't offer delivery at all. But to call all the time, and never know what kind of mood the guy will be in, or if there will be a delivery guy there, or whatever the case may be, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Even if the food is good, I'm not planning to stop in anymore because I am so fed up.

Food is great, but check opening time!!

I went with a friend for my first time and the food was great. However, I tried to go the second time with my husband at around 11:00am on a Sunday and they were not open yet. Menupages reports that they are open 10am daily. This is not the case so check with the restaurant on opening times first before heading all the way down to the East Village (from the UWS for us). The food is great and the service is good by Manhattan standards.

    Fantastic!

This is such a great place! The crepes are wonderful and the atmosphere is perfect. Along with this the service is some of the best in the city. All of the staff are friendly and accommodating. We always bring friends and family to this spot and know that it will be a great experience all around.
