Not as good as before, I only ever ordered delivery

I've only ever ordered delivery. They are understaffed it seems because most of the time they can't deliver. When they do its great! They're food used to be unmatched, but they've recently changed their ingredients. The bread is not as good, and I don't know what the story is with the sandwiches but they used to have much more flavor... I will still come back because its a great place, great food, but it just used to be better. This always happens, and probably it will just keep getting worse. Hopefully this review will make them change back to their old ingredients :-)

    Mmm

I have loved this place for years, and even after I moved out of state, every time I come back this is where I go. Their crepes are fantastic, and the side salad they serve with it is superb! They have a nice dessert menu, too and I think all in all for NYC a great value! Hands down BEST sangria ever!! LOVE IT!

    Downgraded ingredients

It's a good returant. It's cramped, but in a charming sort of way. And the food was fantastic. The crepes are fantastic--and they've been consistantly fantastic. If you're not getting a crepe, be careful though. The first time I went, I got these little vegi-burger sliders with spicy mayo and avacado. They were fantastic. I couldn't wait to go back. But when I did, the vegi-burgers seemed to have experienced a downgrade. The mini-vegi-patties that had been so carefully crafted before were gone. This time they used one regular-sized frozen grocery-story vegi pattie and cut it in half. It didn't taste nearly as good, and the texture was inferior as well. It tasted like my frozen bocca burgers. Not to mention, it was awkward to eat a mini-burger with pattie corners sticking out so far. Also, the avacado wasn't ripe enough and I had to mash it up for a few minutes first. Now, it was by no means awful. But it wasn't something I'd pay $8 for when I could get the same exact product at home for $3 It is only worth that $8 when they used those custom mini-patties. I will go back, but I'm asking about the status of their vegiburgers before I order that item again. I want to give kudos to the staff for time management, though. There's only one guy waiting and one guy cooking--and I had my food in no time even though the restaurant was full. I was in and out of there in only 15-20 minutes.

    Not just Crepes, great food

I love the 'Crooked Cutlet'. This place makes great sandwiches and they have sliders too. And I really feel you get good value here as well. The atmosphere is also awesome and it's a nice place to join a friend or two for a quick meal at night. They play great Ethnic chill music and I like the decor. I've heard varying takes on the service, and yea' it might not be perfect, there are usually only 2-3 people there, all men. But it has never been bad for me. Try this place out!

    Guys

The food is OK, though in the East Village you really can do a lot better, especially when it comes to the service. The place lacks a basic professional outlook which is no surprise when you figure out that 'the guys', as mentioned in the other reviews, are a bunch of men who think quite highly of themselves. No women work here. Maybe students unfamiliar with the neighborhood will be perfectly satisfied here.

    Excellent Crepes

I loved the crepes that they served and the service was great. We went there right before seeing "The Blue Man Group" Our waiter was cute and he was very pleasant and friendly. I thought the prices were also excellent and I would love to dine again soon.
