I've been there for many bday bashes. Loved it at first. Still like it. But their prices have gone up (now about $6 for a draft...and mixed drinks are upwards of $8-$12). Pizzas are still free...but it used to be $1 per topping. Not it's $2 for the first topping, $1 for the rest. They do put on more toppings for the $2 option. But, to be fair, this may have just been that particular pizza guy rather than a standard "we'll double the price but also the quantity" business rule. I'm sure I'll be back when I'm in the area, if at least to give them another shot with another pizza guy before making the official decision on whether or not to head a few more stops in on the L for Alligator Lounge. But they do have the East Side Manhattan convenience option...and are located right across the street from Led Zeppole...and from Artichoke (if you wanna hold out for real pizza). Just make sure to bring a valid photo id or you're not getting in, no matter how hot or endowed or important you think you are! I had a friend who lost her license and only had a photocopy of her passport...and we had to all uproot and head down the street to Beauty Bar because she couldn't get in. Not trying to dog the place...but these changes have definitely taken away the old school, less modern charm that first brought me here.

This is a plain and simple bar... nothing out of the extraordinary, other than the fact that it is the epitome of what a bar should be... nothing more than a place to meet friends and buy drinks, plain and simple. Food Quality- great, if free hot pizza is what you and your wallet are looking for(but remember to tip the pizza guy) Atmosphere- casual, after work kinda place most of the time... but it usually depends on the time of day and crowd since word of this place tends to draw a variety of people Value & Service- you get bang for your buck, and the service, at least when I was there, was friendly It's not a place to see or be seen, it's not even a restaurant.... but it's a hell of a bar to drink at

This is a bar, not a restaurant...pizza is free with any drink order. As a bar this is a good option when people don't want to go all the way downtown for young, cool crowds. This place can get packed. Escape to the fun games in the back. The pizza is decent and gets better and better with each drink.
