Instead of trying to make it thru mob of people to 6th ave for Halloween parade, we snuck in here for nice dinner. I read about their spaghetti alla carbonara so it was sorta planned. We had the anchovies and stuffed hot peppers which were pretty good. I had the carbonara and my boyfriend had the pork shank. Food was pretty good. My waitress sucked! She was in the back chatting away with her other wait staff and it took us 10+ minutes to get our dessert menu then our check. She really only took our order and the rest were done by the bus boys and they were great. I really wanted to leave the tip just for those guys who were working hard to make their $ and not the lazy waitress.

5th time & still love it! lol I tend to always order the same thing, & go to the Garden Room. So I'll have to try something different next time, but everything was great as always. I DID have a different dessert though. The creme brulee & the chocolate pot or something. That was really good. Rich & creamy & GOOD! We went for our anniversary. It was my boyfriends 2nd time & he loved the Italian atmosphere & authentic Italian taste. I will return again & again!

Decided last minute to go to Crispo on a Sunday evening with an out-of-town guest. The 3 of us tried the bone marrow appetizer, prosciutto with bufala mozzarella, carmelized cauliflower, risotto balls, veal medaglione marsala, shrimp fra diavolo, and the 3P spaghetti carbonara. The food was excellent - our favorites were the bone marrow, risotto balls, spaghetti carbonara and the veal. Service was great - our server was extremely friendly, attentive, and answered all our questions about the menu. Will be returning again soon.

4th time here! And I will review it every single time. I love this place! Probably more than any restaurant in NY & definitely more than any Italian restaurant that I have been to. They have all 4 factors...finally. They always had 3, but finally, service is up to par. This time, I had many people tending to our table, which was a little bit wierd, but at least they paid attention this time. Now, this restaurant is perfection. I can't stop eating the veal medaglione. Why ruin a good thing? And they have 3 different types. The 1st 3 times I had the lemon & artichokes, but this time I had the marsala & mushrooms & I have to say that it's equally as fantastic. Next time, I'll try the 3rd type...lol. HIGHLY recommended restaurant. Can't say enough good things about it. The Garden room is perfect in all seasons. Summer is now my favorite!

Went there last Friday with a few friends who had been there before. Everyone agreed that the food was overcooked and bland. The atmosphere was good, but the food was not. I would try little italy before checking this place out.

i have dined at crispo more than any other italian restaurant in the city and each time was a great experience. i love all the pastas, including the half portions, which allow friends to mix and share and of course.. allows you to try other things without getting too stuffed. pork shank is always my favorite. the waitstaff are great and always patient and helful. i feel bad to the other reviewers who didnt have such a good experience... but fortunately i have never had that and will continue to return again and again.

Time and time again, Crispo has surpassed my expectations. This is the perfect place for anything from a romantic dinner for 2, to an evening of good food and fine wine with friends. The ambiance is uniquely warm and charming, and the open roof in the garden room is somewhat reminicsent of the collaseum of accient Rome. The service is friendly and knowledgable. And the Food, oh the food! It is simply divine. The pastas are cooked perfectly, the meats are very flavorful and tender, and the medly of herbs and aromas in each dish are truely a feast for the tase buds. The deserts are excellent as well. What better way to end a fantastic meal than with a duo of sumptuous creme brulee and impossibly rich chocolate mouse? Crispo is a must try! You won't be disappointed!
