    It's not complicated ...

I love this place. Atmosphere is effortlessly funky, complete with secret door, the occasional confused dysfunctional couple with one or another unable to find her/his way out of the loo, innumerable students, funksters and civilians stoned/drunk in the wee hours (and occasionally during the day -- well, okay, not so occasionally) or even (relatively) staright-edge and ... the dogs the taters the drinks are simply great. Good, simple stuff, not so simple. If you haven't tried the place ... do it. Crif's is solid.

    Amazing hot dogs and tots!

This place is awesome for a quick dinner on the cheap. The hot dogs are delicious and the tater tots are crispy. They deep-fry their dogs and everything tastes hot and fresh. I had the Chihuahua hot dog, which is wrapped in BACON! Yum! The woman who greets you is awesome, too!

    Good Dogs/Everything Else, Crap

After waiting 90 minutes for our delivery order to arrive, the fries were ice cold and hard as cardboard, the corn dog was so over-fried, it was literally black. The Tsunami and Redneck, however, were great.

    Delivery not good

I love crif dog....love it. But the last three...count em THREE times I have called for delivery they won't deliver. Once because they said it was too late...even though they weren't closing for an hour and a half. Once because they said that if I was only ordering for two people it wasn't worth it and they wouldn't come. And another time because they were just too busy. I understand if there are occasional times that deliver isn't available...but all three of the last three times I've called... Crif dog..you are letting me down.

Awesome Dogs, A true New Yorkers hangout

With the quote "Knuckle Sandwhich Still Free", a joint with a punchline like that just doesn't get any more New York. This is my hangout. The Service is great, the hotdogs are awesome though it varies alot from the type of dogs you purchase. Even though the people who work there stay very busy they always have an extra moment to talk to you. My only bad experience has been resolved someone tried to charge me 0.60 for a refill on the drinks. I asked someone else who worked there, and they said this wasnt true. Places like this are what the East Village is truly about!

    Love the Chili Dog!

Delicious cheap eats! Go for the chili dog, I prefer it over the crif dog.

    Amazing Dogs

Amazing dogs, I like the spicy redneck the best unless I'm putting together my own unique combo. I also like the tots. Sure the E. Village is full of hipster types but this is just great food. I would warn people not to eat 6 chihuhua's before boarding a transatlantic flight though. Not my best decision after boozing.
