Crepes on Columbus

We came here because of all the wonderful reviews. The restaurant must have been having a bad day because our food was just plain bad. My breakfast crepe was thick and tough, and soaked in butter; the potatoes were soaking in oil. My boyfriend had a crepe with Belgian chocolate, walnuts and bananas-- the texture of the crepe was like leather, and there was barely any chocolate. I don't know, but we're never going back there.

I love a restaurant that has decent prices, excellent fresh food, and friendly service. The crepes were delicious; I had ham and swiss, and dark Belgian chocolate with strawberries and bananas...yummm. For starters french onion soup and prosciutto & fresh mozzorella salad... yummy. To be completely honest, I am super picky and critical about food. I don't care for extremely fancy, overpriced restuarants that deliver food of only mediocre quality. When I go out to eat, I want unique, good quality food and decent service--here, I got that and more. My friends and I left happy about going there. We will definitely come back. We went for dinner because I was looking for something light to eat and wanted something new (have had too much thai and indian lately). However, with a four course meal, I left feeling really satisfied. I will go back for breakfast/lunch too. Highly recommend it!

I have lived in France and other parts of Europe; this place is as good as any creperie I have ever visited. In fact it is better than many. The food is fantastic and the service is every bit as good. You could not ask for a friendlier place. I have nothing negative to say. Their prices are very fair, and the portions perfectly sized. Top marks to this cafe. I recommend it whole heartedly.

This place is the best! I order from here all the time and they are incredibly quick, never make mistakes on the order and the food is totally fabulous! I have had the sandwiches, savory crepes and sweet crepes and have never been disapointed. Everything is very fresh and really wonderful. Try this place!

I took my roommate here for her birthday, and it was such a pleasant surprise! The food was delicious. I had a crepe with ratatoutille and goat cheese and it absolutely melted in my mouth. I couldn't have been more pleased. My roommate ordered the salad with chicken (served cold, which was surprising) and ratatouille and was likewise happy. But the real treat was the dessert crepes--we both ordered the Chocolate Lovers, where you make your own. Anyone with a sweet tooth is going to be amazed by this. The chocolate is so rich and delicious, and the fruit is fresh. You will not find a better sweet crepe in Manhattan. The service was great, I'm pretty sure that an owner of some sort was the man waiting on us, and he was very friendly and very accomodating. I know how hard it is for a small restaurant to succeed, but I hope this one does. I would recommend it to everyone I know!

neighborhood. This is a phenomenal little crepe joint; the food could hardly be better, and the price is right. The only downside is the service is a bit slow even when the place isn't busy, but don't let this dissuade you from going. I rarely am impressed enough by a restaurant to want to write about it, but in this case I felt compelled to. It's just that good. The tiger shrimp crepe is a favorite of mine.

I dropped in one day after looking at the menu and was pleasantly surprised by the food and friendly staff. I go back about once a week these days, and am always greeted with a warm smile and great food. The service can get a little slow if there are a lot of people, but it's well worth it. Please support this great place!
