Avoid the weekend crowd. Go on a Monday!

This place is great. The food is prepared to order. They don't even OWN a microwave. The servers are great. The only downside is the weekend crowds. When it's busy, the very small kitchen gets backed up. SO, don't go on the weekends. drop in Monday - Friday. You won't be disappointed. They even have beer and wine. Make the trek to Crepes on Columbus. They're great!

Best kept secret on the UWS!

This is a cool, chill spot. The crepes are delicious, and the servers are always very nice and attentive. The owner, Steve, is often there to keep customers happy too. They're always packed on the weekends, so I suggest going in anytime on a weekday. Breakfasts are excellent, lunches are quick, and dinners are nice and romantic. Great neighborhood hang-out. Eat there! It's outstanding!

    Worth the wait

Pretty much all reviews for this place say the same thing: long wait - awesome food. that is pretty much the long and short of it. the chocolate crepes are delicious and served hot and tasty. you really cant miss with a dessert at this place and the savory crepes are very good as well. the wait can be a little harsh sometimes, but me and my girlfriend both said the same thing when we were done eating: "It was worth the wait." the owner did come by on a few occassions to assure us that our food was coming and that they were a little backed up and even gave us a free chocolate croissant for our trouble. head over to Columbus Ave for a good meal.

Miss & Hit & Miss again.

Crepes on Columbus is only a few blocks from my apt and I thought it would be a terrific weekend morning breakfast spot. Excited to try it out, I took my brother there. It's pretty cute inside, but unfortunately the crepes themselves were terrible. Instead of being soft and flavorful, they were closer to thin cardboard wafers. The coffee was also too strong. The service was also poor. Some time later and after reading positive reviews on menupages, I decided to give it another try, and the food was actually pretty good. I stayed away from the crepes and went with the chocolate chip pancakes which were very satisfying. Others in my party had the crepes and they were great. They were exactly what crepes are meant to be. The third time was a repeat of the first, only with worse service. After having two poor experiences (vs 1 good), I don't think I'll be coming back here. Especially considering the poor service and the elevated prices.

    True...slow service but great food

Yes the service can be slow. I've been going there since the spring. Weekends and holidays can be rough. It's an average sized diningroom and many times one waitstaff. The food is worth the long wait if you are not in a hurray or with children.

    Not recommended

I have never been moved to write a review but after dining here today with my family I had to write. The staff ignored us for 15 minutes and then took out order. Our coffee only came after the table next to us (who had just arrived) got theirs and we had to ask about ours. Our food hadn't come 30 miuntes later and people who came in long after us had been served. So we inquired and they said it was coming. We could see some discussion by the crepe plates and it seemed they had served ours to another table. Finally my husband's salmon crepe came (which was tasty) and some eggs for our 2 year old. When my crepe arrived yet another 5 minutes later - the ham and cheese inside was literally cold. I called the waitress and told her and there was barely an apology. The man who appeared to be in charge came over and asked if everything was now OK. We told him about the cold crepe after waiting more than 30 minutes and he barely batted an eye lash. we told them to forget it and left. Too bad as we were hoping for some good food - but the place was so disorganized and unclean looking.

    Good Food

I ate here when they first opened and found that the food was excellent, but the service was very bad. I thought it would improve as they got more experience, however, it has not improved much. The coffee is not very good, but the crepes are so good that I will be back
