Lunch is prix fixe only but a good value. Creamy sweet corn soup was amazing. Had hanger steak tacos and side of black beans. Didn't jive with the tomato-chorizo paste that slathered the tacos. Will try another main course selection next time. Food rating has potential to soar if there's other items as good as that corn soup.

I don't know when they got here, but I hope they NEVER leave. My husband and I just happened to be walking buy when we noticed the front lounge filled with people. So our curiosity got the better of us and we decided to see what the crowd was all about. And we are SO happy we did. After the 45 minute wait (we strongly encourage making a reservation), we sat down to what was one of the most memorable meals we've ever had in our lives. We had been waiting for a long time for great food in our neighborhood and thanks to Crema our wait is over.

This is a "do not miss" spot for New Yorkers. I cannot stop thinking about the guacamole and the margaritas! Pure joy for an old Mexican fan like me. I can recommend the entire menu as I have had it all now, making Crema one of my weekly stops on my eating out journey through the city. Bravo Shaun Smith and bravo Chef!!

Brilliant newcomer to the haute Mexican scene. Bright, warm, welcoming decor which complements the fantastic food. Guacamole was out of this world as were both the spicy habanero and milder chipotle salsas. I tried the scallop tacos appetizers and my friends had the cheese and sausage queso flameado which came with fresh corn tortillas and guacamole. The entrees sustained our high expectations – sea bass in a pool of pureed plantains, crispy chicken flautas and ribs in a tangy mole sauce. We finished off with several desserts – the chocolate island in a cream sauce and the "cheesecake" with mangos and an interesting tequila sorbet. Drinks are a little pricey, but definitely not your ordinary margarita (or cocktail for that matter – try the sangria-ish agua loca).

Definitely not your ordinary Mexican joint! From the moment I stepped in I felt I was in for a great evening. The decor is elegant and slick yet cheerful and inviting. The wait staff very friendly and efficient without being invasive or pushy. And the food! The food is the real star and deserves many of them. The guacamole was divinely fresh. The chicken in squash cream with portobello mushrooms and goat cheese, a feast for the senses. The cocktail list is impressive too. And creative. I recommand the Agua Loca. Fresh, frutty and deliciously strong... Thank you to the wonder woman chef and her team for giving us the gift of the art of high quality Mexican cuisine.

The decor of this little gem is cool and inviting--a great use of space and light. The staff was friendly and helpful. But, above all, it's about the food! Delicious, sophisticated Latin flair. I had scallop tacos with avocado and mangos. Sweet and spicy and creamy all at the same time. And the flan was amazing. I'm taking everyone there.

Had a great meal there last month. Owner so friendly, staff really nice, food terrific. Love the little garden area...
