Ate here for lunch today. We started with a delicious assortment of cheeses--each one amazing. Our server looked at our platter of cheeses, then returned with a hand-drawn 'map' of which name went with which cheese. I ordered the Lamb with morels--cooked perfectly, melted in my mouth--wonderful aroma of rosemary with the butterlike earthy taste of the morels! My friend ordered the rabbit and loved it. He gave me a taste and I found it amazing. After our meal, the server suggested the rice pudding ice cream. My friend ordered it and found it to be a generous serving. He loved the vanilla taste with an accent of 'rice pudding'. He highly recommended it! Our server was delightful. She was knowledgable, smiling, funny, and stopped by our table the perfect amount of times to make us feel attended to but not bothered! Can't recommend this place enough!!!

As We entered CraftBar we were greeted and seated promptly, are food was served with no glitches on what seemed to be an extremely busy thursday night. The real suprise and delight was our server, who was delightful and if i may say extremely handsome. The food was nice folks but its worth the trip alone to meet our server....

Excellent service, excellent food! Ate at Craftbar for the first time recently. I was a bit hesitant to go as some of the reviews regarding food and service have not been positive. COMPLETELY WRONG! We had a fantastic meal with excellent service. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, very friendly and generous with his wine pouring ? VERY generous. He made excellent suggestions, did not bat an eyelash when I asked about, oh, 7 different dishes on the menu and gladly offered to substitute an ingredient I do not like. The food was outstanding ? every ingredient in my red snapper dish burst with fresh flavor (seriously ? the 4 or 5 flavors were layered and perfectly complimentary). The white truffles over papperdale was RICH and tasty (note the $45/price - and they did split it into 2 plates for the ladies). The filet with bacon was a bit too smoky for my taste ? the smoke flavor dominated the other ingredients. We had 2 apps (steak tartar - excellent ? note: it is not ground, but slightly larger chunks) and melted pecorino fondue with hazelnuts, honey and spice ? the table loved this (I thought it was ok), assorted cheeses, assorted salami?s, 3 entrees, 1 bottle of wine, 4 extra glasses of wine, 2 desserts, 2 dessert drinks and our tab for 4 came to $325. The manager came over to check on us and suggested a dessert which we vetoed. She sent it to us anyways, on the house (and it was excellent ? orange polenta cake). They serve a full menu at the bar (12-15 seats) and if you haven?t been, check it out. I think this might be my new fav. place!

I had trepidations about the restaurant after the reviews, but was extremely pleased with my meal. The service was fabulous, to say the least. Food: The beet salad was a very nice mixture of greens, goat cheese and beets (though I could see people not having a taste the goat cheese's coating of sea salt and cracked pepper even though I thought it was perfect). My friend and I split the mallard with truffles special for 2, which was outstanding. Even a quick vegetable switch request was granted, and it their accomodation for this request was greatly appreciated. Finally, the dessert was heavenly and not overtly sweet. I have not eaten at Craft, so I do not have that particular basis of comparison, but I would absolutely recommend Craftbar to others.

Went to Craftbar, hoping it would be just as good as Craft, but it wasn't. First, we had a reservation at 8:30, the place was empty, but they made us wait for 15 minutes. The service was slow and the waitstaff were snobby. Everything we ordered was extremely salty. I will not be back.

What a fantastic place! The food has been great everytime I've been there, with bold, yet well balanced flavors derived from the freshest of ingredients. Considering how high quality the ingredients are (the waitress pointed out that most of the vegetables are organic and the meats raised in a responsible way) it really is a good value, and the portions are just the right size. I will admit that at times the food has taken a long time, but when I needed to be out in about an hour to make it to a show on time I told our waiter and he was able make suggestions of dishes that could be hurried along. Also, the staff are very well informed and helpful. For the best service, and with no need to make a reservation, I would go between 5:30-7:30. There always seems to be a lot of tables available then.

Restaurant week the problem? Who knows. Service was the most subpar I've ever had in a "fine" restaurant. Octo appetizer -- tender. Excellent. Fondue with honey and nuts -- delicious. Pappardelle with sea urchin/chili ... nice pasta dish but too heavy handed with tomatoes. I had hoped for a much more intense flavor of the sea. Pasta nice and fresh but overall a most disappointing dish. The skate was really well prepared -- the tomato conserve on top just divine. The portions? Larger than I expected. Air conditioning wasn't working properly on the day I ate there which was a bit of a problem. Having to ask for water and hearing others around me complain about their service makes me want to change my mind to a 1 or 1.5 in my rating, but I'll leave it as a 2.
