walked in without a reservation... got a table right away! this was the beginning of the end. Menu looked excellent... wine list so over priced for a mid range restaurant... no selections of vodka( absolut) . they have $200 bottles of brunello, but yet the worlds cheapest vodka. service was not good. saw the waiter maybe 3 times. food was decent. restaurant overall was not worth it.

came here after work on monday night with friends (a party of 6) and had a blast. the place has a nice casual vibe. even on a non-restaurant night, it was packed with customers. we ordered a few snacks - chickpea fries, rice balls, codfish fritters, each had an entree (most of us opted for the cod, which was excellent! two people ordered veal meatballs and couldnt finish their plates-so much food! and one person got the chicken which was surprisingly a small dish) and dessert. two bottles of wine, service, tax and we ended up spending around $65/pp - great deal, considering! the food was very good. the service was just right. would definitely recommend this place to others!

I had been to Craft Bar several times, but not for a few years. Last night I found myself in the neighborhood and stoppped in for dinner after a movie. Glad to say the place has not lost a beat; actually, it was even better than I remember a few years ago. The place was hopping with a nice buzz to it. The appetizer, entree and dessert were a tasty and scrumptious as I remembered. The "spacy" service left just a little bit to be desired. But overall, this is as good as ever.

the food is delicious but the entrees are TINY. Everyone in my party left hungry. Craftbar may be slightly less expensive than Craft but its only because you get like 2 scallops as your meal.

Seated quickly, but it was so hot at the table that the server said we were seated in the "hot box". Said new table was being cleared. 30 minutes later moved to new table. Waited 30 minutes for drinks [ordered twice]. Waited nearly an hour to order food. Finally started eating 2 hours after arrival at restaurant. Food was extremely mediocre. "Spicy" FISH stew was tasteless and full of seafood other than fish. Steak was cold [not surprising after 2 hours wait]. Server spilled ice cold water down my father's back and the only response was to be handed a napkin and a terse apology. Would never go back!

Nothing impressed me about the menu except the tapa style "snacks" bruschetta, cheeses and appetizers, which were all very intriguing. Definitely not a destination restaurant, but okay if you live in the area or are union square area a lot.

My family took me to the Mother's Day Brunch at Craftbar this year. The menu was somewhat limited, but the food was very good. I would agree with another reviewer that the constant removing of plates, glasses, and silverware was annoying and off-putting. Otherwise the service was impeccable. We arrived on time for our reservation, were seated promptly and the food was served in a reasonable amount of time. Would go there again.
