Went to Craft with my friend last night. the room is nice and spacious, but a little too quiet. The service was Outstanding - however the food wasn't amazing. Nothing was bad, but nothing was fantastic either. $200 bill for 4 glasses of wine, 2 entrees, 1 app, and 1 side. Probably wouldn't recommend this restaurant, though we did have a pleasant time while dining there.

Spectacular in every way. Food was the best I've had, service was impeccable, and setting was romantic. Ordered Beef Carpaccio Bacon & Apple and French Mache Salad w/ Truffle Vinagrette for starters...fantastic! Was also given a complimentary Split Pea Panna Cotta..delish! Quail & 50 year Balslamic, and Braised Halibut for Main dishes...Quail was excellent! Then was given free Lemon Spritzers..yum! For dessert had Doughnuts with Malted Milk Ice cream...to die for! And Lemon Beignets...yum again! Lots of exclamation points for CRAFT! Loved everything.

Food is OK but nothing special. Overall a bit of a rip-off. The portions were tiny, fish lacked any kind of flavor (both sashimi style as well as broiled) and side dishes where just OK. Atmosphere was nice though and bacon with apples and quail delicious. You dearly pay for the "free muffins" you get before paying as the bill is $$$$

I went to dinner with my boyfriend and although we were close to half an hour late for our reservation, we were seated right away at a very private table for two. The wait staff came over promptly, and the service was attentive, without being over bearing. We ordered a bottle of wine, and our glasses (both wine and water) were never empty! The food was definitely an orgasmic experience. We had crispy bacon with apple, and arugula and lemon salad as apps, followed by our entrees of red snapper and the 28 day aged sirloin w/ sides of baby carrots, pureed potato and gnocchi and donuts and apple tart tatin with vanilla ice cream for dessert with a pot of oolong tea. We were also treated to samples of cauliflower soup, blood orange spritzers, and a chocolate and peanut butter tart during all our courses. We each got a muffin to take home too. Overall we were very impressed with the food, the service and the atmosphere. We weren't surprised at how expensive the meal was, but felt it was well worth it, and generously tipped our waiter. We will definitely try Craft again. Also good to know is that they change the menu almost everyday, so we'd be interested to see what else they have to offer. This place definitely gets our seal of approval.

Went to Craft at the start of january with my boyfriend on our first trip to NYC (we are English). Arrived and were seated straight away even though it was very busy and we arrived 15 minutes early. Wait staff seemed very friendly and gave us menus, then explained how the food is served. Waiter recommended a starter and a main course and a side dish each. We skipped the starter and went stright for the main course and side dish. I had the chicken and cauliflour, boyfriend has sirlion steak with mushrooms and baby carrots. His steak was quite expensive at $50.00 but when it arrived it was huge, no way could we have eaten a starter as well!! He was very pleased and said it was the best steak he had ever had! My chicken was great and cauliflour was amazing, glasses were never left empty and over all we were very impressed! Will definatly be visiting Craft again next time were in NYC and I hope it lives up to the first time!

I have been to craft twice and I must say that there was a huge difference between the two occasions. On my first occasion our server was very well versed with the menu and was very accomodating to many of my parties dietary restrictions. We found the food to be great and the service staff very attentive and helpful. On my second occasion I was quite disappointed with the overall service and the attitude of some of the staff. The server was not as knowledgeable as my previous visit and it took him quite long to respond on answers which he went to ask the chef about. For our main courses one of our dishes which I preferred to be cooked a little more. When I sent the dish back to be prepared to my liking the dish never came out and when I told the server that my dish never came out he never apologized and just said that he would take it off the bill, as if he was doing me a favor. All in all I was very disappointed with the service the second time around and found the food to be drenched in butter and oil. I will eventually go to Craft again hoping that they are able to reproduce the same quality of food and service as my first visit.

Went to dinner last night with my mother. We skipped apps and ordered the sea bass (boring) and braised short ribs (delicious) for our entrees. Then we had the assorted mushroom (very good) and the potato gnocci (Awesome!) sides. We finished the meal with the doughnuts (yum). Overall we really liked this restaurant. The best part was the gnocci for sure. Service was ok, a little slow.
