    jessy james attitude

It was high noon and the waitress sauntered to our table. I ordered for my entire clan in order to keep it simple. Time galloped by and our food finaly arrived. Two out of five items were correct... the rest were strays. It was realy nothin to holler at we're understandin folks - except the waitress had a Jessey James attitude. She came out shootin... it was our fault how could Jessey be wrong. She took the rest of our order with a gunslinger scowl. She stood back in the saloon and made nasty faces at our younguns while spreadin manuer amungst the wait staff. We ate in shifts subject to her looks and the looks of the rest of the staff. We alerted the the Sheriff (manager) he offered us his card, he said to call ahead next time so we wouldn't be a sittin in her section . we all thought that was right nice of him. we payed are bill and when we got home we gave that card to the goat cause we won't be going back.

Chicken Fried Steak is NOT Texas Style

Coming from Oklahoma and hungry for Chicken fried steak, I was very disappointed. Very little gravy and not a true chicken fried steak that is tender. Meat was tough. Service wasn't that great. I was there on a Thurs. around 2:00 pm. Not what I was expecting from an article I read in Cowboy and Indians.

    Too many kids

This place is great if you don't mind sitting in the middle of achild's play pen. Too many kids with rude parents.

    going away parties

when someone leaves the office they often have a happy hour there... maybe that is an insight to why they are leaving.

    Poor service! Great food!

While the food was wonderful, we went at a time that wasn't at all busy, yet all the waiters were congregating instead of paying attention to the customers. We had to get up and find our waitress for everything--"Can we have some water?" "We're ready to order", etc. On the upside, if anyone is looking for an easy waiting job, this would be perfect--get paid to chat with coworkers! No work necessary! I would recommend going at a busy time, when the waiters have to notice that there are people in the restaurant.

    Horrid Experience

Four of us decided to meet for dinner at Cowgirl, as we wanted a kind of kitschy decor. Were we in for an unpleasant awakening. Yes, we promptly were served the complimentary tortilla chips, with bean dip; it was quite good. We perused the drink menu, and waited for the waiter to come and take our order--only he never came. I spotted the manager, and asked her to alert him. Again, he never came. This was a Tuesday night, and it wasn't busy at all. It was inexcusable that we had to wait interminably for service. We finally became disgusted, and left. I have never encountered service so poor.

    Good Tex-Mex Cooking!

My girlfriend and I went here on a Tuesday night at around 7pm because we wanted a place with good food, outdoor seating and margaritas. We definitely got what we were looking for. I had one of the specials of the month, the sloppy joe, and she had the all chopped up salad or something. Both of our meals were delicious and we had no trouble with service as many of the other reviews have mentioned (although there's no way to know if that's because of our timing or because the service is just fine). We had a very nice experience and although there was nothing outstanding enough about it to want to go back right away, I would certainly reccomend it to a friend.
