The most unappetizing chicken I've ever had in my life
I ordered a Cobb salad. The chicken tasted weird. I took a good look at it and realized it was something not of this earth. It was some sort of processed chicken in the shape of a chicken breast sliced up and grilled. Also, does lettuce come in brown? If you go, make sure you don't order the food.

Poor service
I ordered from here and they never delivered my food. When I called to ask, they said my doorman was annoying so they refuse to deliver to me (odd, as they have delivered to me many times before). Regardless, it's not my fault if you think someone is irritating, you still need to do your job!

Seriously? Frozen gyro?
The place is usually very reliable, and I've been ordering their takeout for years. They have perhaps the best french fries in midtown, if not the city. Always delivered hot and really salty. But, I've found some ridiculous flaws lately. I'd never ordered these dishes till now so I don't know if they are new shortcuts or historical flaws. But, I ordered fish and chips a few weeks ago and was surprised to see clearly pre-frozen fish nuggets. Every piece was the same uniform wedge. They were not entirely unappetizing but surprisingly bad for a usually good diner. Then came the real shocker. I ordered the gyro plate the other day and got 4 factory-stamped sausage strips Are you kidding me? In NY!!!??? An NY diner that serves gyro (hmm, how many are there) and they can't even have their own gyro rotisserie. Every wannabe greek/middle eastern deli in the city has one, not to mention every Mexican joint worth ever stepping foot in (for some usually good al pastor). Does Midtown West actually exist in Middle America? Frozen gyro strips?! For shame Cosmic Diner. From now on I'll stop by to pick french fries on my way anywhere else.

Pleased
Was pleasantly surprised during a Sunday visit with two teenagers. The server was attentive, friendly and efficient. The serving sizes were very generous and the price was reasonable. The menu was extensive. Yes I would go again.

Service Issues
We were regulars of this diner until last Saturday. We were a party of four and the hostess/cashier brought us to a small table facing the wall. I told her that I would prefer to wait for a booth. She started to argue with me that this was the only table and their was nothing wrong with it. I told her I was not in a hurry and we would wait. While we were waiting she kept looking at us with nasty puss on her face so we decided to leave. There are so many options in this city. No reason to eat where the service isnt friendly.

I'll be a regular
Ordered to-go over the phone. It was ready when I showed up 10 minutes later, piping hot (the food, not me) Counter service friendly, talky, no problem with adding dessert item to my order. Quality, price, a nice surprise. I'll be back.

Ok Service but disappointing food
My family and I (party of four) went to Cosmic Dinner over the weekend. Good: French onion soup; french fries. Mediocre: monte cristo pannini Bad: Special eggs benedict with crab meat - terrible: hashbrown flavorless, hollandaise sauce yucky; Unbearable: philly cheese steak came out smelly, unedible had to send it right back! Sorry Cosmic....ain't comin' back.
