The burger was just a dry patty on a plain looking bun - no lettuce, no mayo, no coleslaw, and no pickles. So I had to ask and of course by the time it got to my table my burger was cold. Isn't this basic? That burger was just tossed on my table, like you hear the plate hitting hard on the table. Coffee was cold. I asked for water, and i had to ask for straw with the server giving me a look. The cashier was of no help even if she was just standing in front of me. Never did anyone of them look at me. There were only 2 or 3 customers. Will never go back.

    Not recommended

Worst food I have ever eaten. Mad at myself for even paying for it, but my husband and I were so tired, hungry and disappointed at what was served to us that were just not in the mood to argue. My husband ordered fish and chips and they were literally Gorton's battered fish sticks, exact shape and everything.I could have cooked them better myself, for a fraction of the price. The french fries were even unappetizing, not crunchy, but chewy and stale. I got chicken nuggets, didn't look or taste like there was chicken in them. All filler. Fast food chains have better chicken nuggets and fries and that is saying a lot. I would never recommend this place ever!

The most unappetizing chicken I've ever had in my life

I ordered a Cobb salad. The chicken tasted weird. I took a good look at it and realized it was something not of this earth. It was some sort of processed chicken in the shape of a chicken breast sliced up and grilled. Also, does lettuce come in brown? If you go, make sure you don't order the food.

    Poor service

I ordered from here and they never delivered my food. When I called to ask, they said my doorman was annoying so they refuse to deliver to me (odd, as they have delivered to me many times before). Regardless, it's not my fault if you think someone is irritating, you still need to do your job!

    Seriously? Frozen gyro?

The place is usually very reliable, and I've been ordering their takeout for years. They have perhaps the best french fries in midtown, if not the city. Always delivered hot and really salty. But, I've found some ridiculous flaws lately. I'd never ordered these dishes till now so I don't know if they are new shortcuts or historical flaws. But, I ordered fish and chips a few weeks ago and was surprised to see clearly pre-frozen fish nuggets. Every piece was the same uniform wedge. They were not entirely unappetizing but surprisingly bad for a usually good diner. Then came the real shocker. I ordered the gyro plate the other day and got 4 factory-stamped sausage strips Are you kidding me? In NY!!!??? An NY diner that serves gyro (hmm, how many are there) and they can't even have their own gyro rotisserie. Every wannabe greek/middle eastern deli in the city has one, not to mention every Mexican joint worth ever stepping foot in (for some usually good al pastor). Does Midtown West actually exist in Middle America? Frozen gyro strips?! For shame Cosmic Diner. From now on I'll stop by to pick french fries on my way anywhere else.
