Not viva la france
My friend and I went to Cosette last evening and enjoyed the food, but the waitresses hover over you making it uncomfortable to eat. Attitude big time on the faces of the 2 waitresses and the owner. We wanted to split the bill on 2 credit cards, they did it wrong and verbally gave us attitude about re-doing the charges. The owner was muttering about us. Very unpleasant end to our meal.

hidden gem
We eat at Cosette once a week on average. The staff is so friendly and once they recognize you, they make you feel very welcome. The atmosphere is cozy and tables can be tight sometimes. The specials all are delicious, although some of our favorites are the Napolean appetizer, French Onion Soup, and Steak Au Poivre. The prices are great for the meal and the wine selection is value-oriented.

Great French country meal
Last night took two visitors from France to Cosette and they found the restaurant charming. Limited menu but enough to satisfy all taste. The owners are right to limit choices so they can concentrate on getting the dishes that they serve right. The owners seem to know what they are and want to be - a small reasonable priced French Country restaurant and they pull if off wonderfully - bon appétit

My new favorite Murray Hill restaurant
I thought this restaurant was a bit sketchy at first because it's right next to the laundromat I go to, but I was pleasantly surprised when my husband and I had dinner there a few weeks ago. The mushroom and goat cheese pastry appetizer was incredible and the escargot was yummy too. It's so quiet and charming there - the type of restaurant where the owner walks around and chats with patrons. There are basically only 2 staff members and cooks in the back. So very small and quaint for a nice quiet atmosphere and delicious food. Will definitely go again.

worth it
i randomly chose cosette off menupages and i'm glad i did. i thought the atmosphere was really great, small and cozy little place. the waitress was very friendly, available and helpful. i ordered the pork filet with sides of mashed potatoes and ratatouille. the ratatouille was a bit of a disappointment, a little too many peppers for my liking, and not enough tomato. also i don't like when vegetables aren't cooked really soft. but anyway, the pork filet was so delicious, extremely tasty. i had the chocolate cake with hazelnut for dessert, it was ok, could have been a bit more chocolatey. but overall i was very pleased and would definitely go back. the music selection was a bit odd... i could've sworn it sounded irish (as well as the waitress' accent!) overall, i recommend it. it's certainly worth trying!!! i promise everything was very good i just tend to be picky :)

6th time ...last time
Fine we ordered a half duchk and got a duck breast that was overcooked and dry. They ran out of haldf ducks but didn't tell us until after we questioned it. Then when I complained about the fact that it was dry the owner started to argue with me...a regular customer about whether it was good or not. The waitress felt compelled to interject her questions into the middle of our conversations. What has happened to this place don't know don't care
