We were so excited to go to Corton and so disappointed by the time we left. Our waitress had an attitude that we have not seen in decades. Our main courses never came out and we sat for one hour without our waitress coming near our table to see if we needed anything or to explain where our food was. When it finally did come, my dish was totally under-cooked and I had to send it back. It took so long for it to come back out the second time, that I cancelled it becasue my husband was now falling asleep at the table. The manager acknowledged that our waitress had an attitude but she did not seem very upset by it. They did not offer to comp us and they charged me for my uneaten dinner that spent more time in the kitchen than at our table. When I called the next day to try to speak to a different manager, all they said was that we should come back again and give them another chance. So they suggested that we spend another 250.00 at their restaurant that was so disapointing the night before. That is not customer service.

The food is Bouley quality but without the attitude. Very relaxed but elegant. Not cheap, but there is a new "country" wine list with amazing wines all priced under $60. It was completely packed so others must be discovering our neighborhood gem.

From the Maitre D to the servers to the chef, boy do these rate themselves highly. The snobbiness the like I have never seen before. And I have been to every 3* and 2* Michelin restaurant in NY. Fair enough the food is excellent and inventive, however the service and customer care leave a lot to be desired. Maybe the staff have lost the will to serve after spending almost a year serving the Tribeca seniors that have obviously hobbled across west Broadway from Bouley. Another gripe, a restaurant bar without any stools? Really? What happens if you want to come early and take in the ambience? Oh no. But the Maitre D can "recommend some bars in the neighborhood". Apparently… My feeling of last night was that this restaurant is in the wrong location. Tribeca doesn’t have the crowd that Cortons food will wow, and the young wall street guys won’t be coming anymore. The head chef deserves a much better location, a more appreciative audience and better staff. Will it still be there in 12 months...hmm I would go visit now while you can, just to be on the safe side.

This was a special occasion dinner for us, and Corton more than lived up to our hopes. It was one of the best meals we have ever had, with exquisite food and impeccable service. While certainly not cheap, many "extras" -- from the amuse bouche to the two rounds of gratis sweet treats -- made it great value. The wine list has options under $40 as well. In all, a meal to remember, for less than you would think for quality this high.

This is the best restaurant to open in New York in some time. This place is really, really good.The food is completely unique and delicious. the service is top notch and friendly. The crowd is cool. And the price is right too. While its not inexpensive, I would have gladly paid a lot more for this caliber of food and service. All around fantastic.

Food was first-rate, but service was spotty at best. Had tasting menu, but main courses came 30 mins after the appetizer courses and the dead time made the meal, not awkward, but less than ideal. Dishes were great and highly unique, but for the price ($400 meal), we expected a touch more

We had dinner here last night for my boyfriend's birthday and it is hands down the best restaurant in NYC and we've been to all of them! The food was innovative, delicious and made with the best ingredients. The wine list is terrific with many bottles under $50. The service was attentive and knowledgeable and the room serene and lovely. The portions look small but they are not. We left with our bellies full and happy. We will definitely be back.
