    Poorest dining experience in NYC

Abysmal, friends. At our overly eager waiter's suggestion, I ordered two sides: the $8 spinach with pine nuts and the $5 vegetable/olive antipasti. My sister ordered the $21 roasted chicken. All three were positively swimming in grease, but I was particularly appalled by the spinach. EIGHT dollars for this tiny ramekin of swampy, flavorless greenery.....it was pointless to even eat it. The antipasti was forgettable - could have gotten something more interesting at a chain restaurant. We had been contemplating a bottle of wine, but hastily abandoned the idea after realizing that quality was not a priority here. My sister picked at her slimy $21 chicken legs and then (before our waiter could offer us dessert) we paid the check ($55 after tip) and went to Two Boots to devour slices of pizza before going our separate ways.

    Just OK

Food here is ok to fair, not bad but it isn't as good as Ino or other associated restaurants. Crostinis were fair, didn't compare to other delicious bruschettas. Eggplant was swimming in oil. Nothing stood out. Best to go here for a glass of wine with friends. I expected better.

    Not so good

Salty food, heavy combinations, ordinary crostini and house specials with shaved truffles and eggs. panna cotta and tiramisu was the best of the meal. This was the second and last time I'll go.

    Terrible Salty Food

My husband and I thought we would give this restaurant a try since we love inoteca. We ordered the fritto del giorno, 3 crostini's the lamb and the fusilli. Nothing was great and the fritto and fusilli were so salty they were practically inedible. We will definitely not be back.

    Fantastic

This place is hands-down delicious. Amazing atmosphere, great waitstaff and outstanding food! Get the risotto croquette for sure!

    Good food, poor service

Usually when you order over a $100 worth of food you should receive at least mediocre service. Our waitress was dreadful and barely checked on us one time. The other wait staff and the busboys seemed to be more helpful. We were brought the check before our meal was even over, very rude. The food was ok at best. Try one of the other restaurants associated with the owners, they are much better!

This is a "service" industry people

I went to Corsino last Thursday evening with my aunt. We were famished and it was around 9pm. I had read good things about the food. We were told it would be about a 20-30 minute wait so we decided to have a glass of wine at the bar. After waiting at the bar for about 10-15 minutes trying to get someone's attention, we finally flagged down a waiter passing by. We asked what we had to do to get a drink and we were told we were standing in "no man's land" because the glass with the giant leg of pork behind it is apparently the mason dixon line of no service. He was kind enough to get us wine and told us it would be on the house since we were neglected, and proceeded to flag down the waitress that was supposed to be tending to us. When he did so, she quickly gave us a nasty look as though we did something wrong by sitting behind the "glass-o-pork" where she would've had to serve us. The experience was downhill from there. It was like pulling teeth to get any service at our table. After the waitress finally took our order, she came back about 15 minutes later with a plate with three dry crostini saying she knew we were hungry so she went out of her way to get us something to nibble on. In the meantime, the previous waitress who was supposed to service us at the bar, continued to "eye" our table and gave us dirty looks. After all that, our waitress interrupted our meal to ask if we'd "settled" our bill at the bar and we told her the nice waiter had told us the wine was on the house because we had waited so long, only to have her add the wine to our final bill. I will say the food was good, but NEVER worth the bad experience of service we were subjected to that evening. It takes a lot for me to make a clear declaration, but I will never go back and I've already told many people never to go there. Perhaps the management should have a staff meeting about servicing customers in a timely fashion with a welcoming attitude. Just a thought!
