I love this place
Is everyone below me talking about the same place? I live around the corner and Cornerstone is this only place my boyfriend and I go even though we are surrounded by 10 awful other bars on 2nd ave. The food is excellent, the beer selection is decent, and the bartender is literally the best bartender you will ever have. The burger is my favorite, all though everything else is good too. Low key and specials for sports games during the week and fun to dance with your friends on the weekend, you can't go wrong.

not a real pub at all
I was here Friday night and I agree with Jesse's review. NO buybacks at all. My friend and I had several drinks and I mentioned to the bartender that it was my birthday, he replied, I am not the owner. Does the Cornerstone Pub realize that they are surrounded by pubs on 2nd ave,. that offer happy hours and do buybacks. Another annoying matter was that when we walked in and wanted to sit at the corner of the bar we saw a "reserved" sign and later on a few "corporate" looking people came in. I have never heard of reserving bar space for regulars. Again, with all the bars in the neighborhood I think we will skip the Cornerstone Pub.

The anti pub
This is a sleek looking place with no soul. It is obviously some group of corporate owners who don't know how to attract regulars. Was here for hours with friends, spent lots on drinks and didn't get a single buy back. Not the kind of treatment that would bring me back.

My favourite place!
I really do like the place! It has a very nice atmosphere, and no matter when you can still find a quiet or a loud spot there! Very good selection of tap beers! Huge platter of chix wings!

Good food, bad bar, don't go here on a date!
I had high hopes for this place when it opened, hoping it was a nice pub/tavern that would be different than every other bar in this area. The food was fantastic, but the music was way too loud to hear my date and the downstairs bar was oddly high up in relation to the stools. We felt like little kids or dwarves sitting at this bar! So strange! Went back to get dinner another time and there was karaoke-very very poor singing going on and no way could we eat and listen to this. Bottom line, great food and nice service, but don't go during peak times because it's a nasty frat party and a shame.

Great new bar!
I recently went here for a late lunch and wound up staying for hours. This place has amazing food and a wonderful selection of beers. The service was really great and the atmosphere was friendly and enjoyable. I highly recommend this place to anyoneI'll certainly be coming back. (PS the drink specials are really goodespecially for its location!)
