Gastronome's gem (sans service)
Hidden in plain sight, in the more industrial section of Broadway, is this gem for gastronomes. The name, more appropo for a 50s diner, does the restaurant no justice. The food is simply extraordinary. We started with garlic shrimp--delectable. My friend had the roasted root vegetarian salad, and I ordered their red snapper, a special, and a side of brussels sprouts. Everything was delicious. In stark contrast to the exceptional food was the service. While not poor, it seemed so out of place. Specials were read off a pad in monotone, "how is your meal" was asked--twice--thirty seconds after the dish was served. You won't be impressed by the service, but you'll tell ten friends about the food. Delicious!

Cozy and Delish
I have no idea what people are saying about the service-our's was quick and lovely and attentive. Atmosphere is intimate, food is lovely. Perfect for a date or sophisticated night out with your best girlfriend.

Great food, rude service
The food here is great, but the staff is quite rude. It's worth it if you're willing to put up with terrible customer service.

Good but what happened to the ketchup?
My husband used to love this place! The burger and fries are great! We even put up with the So-so service for the yummy burger. The last time we came in they hade homemade ketchup! It was terrible! It made it difficult to enjoy the burger and fries we loved. I know it sounds silly but we won't be back until thy bring back Heinz.

if you want great food without an attitude dont call this place, the food is awesome but the guy taking your order makes you feel like its a real honor to be speaking to him, let alone asking him to take your order, a few good staff and one standout loser but great food

Great!
I eat here about twice a month. Their burgers are great!! It is 12$ with cheesebut comes with a lot of fries (I get garlic fries) and is enough for 2 meals for me. The portabella mushroom sandwich is great as is the organic chicken noodle soup. Breakfast is very good too. It is cute and charming and I will really miss it when I move!
