The line wait is well worth the opportunity to savor what I think are the best burgers in Manhattan. It has a typical old pub/bar atmosphere. The service wasn't the best or fastest, but about the best it could be considering the prices and that place is usually very crowded.

    Best burgers in Manhattan

I agree with many on this site that Corner Bistro has the best burgers in Manhattan. The service is fast and simple but some yuppies/trust find babies want to be treated as if they are in a cafe ordering a latte in the UWS so they write stupid negative reviews. Yes, there is usually a wait but it's worth it. Beers are cheap, have one waiting in line and watch how time passes. Before you know it you will be seated. Have the Bistro - bacon it's excellent

Go home if you don't like burgers

This is the best burger in manhattan, I've never been disappointed. Don't let the lamer from the UES who post bad reviews discourage you; don't bring your vegetarian girlfriend here; don't come in expecting to have service with a smile. Just come in, wait in line for 25mins, down a few cheap, cheap beers, order your burger, fries, and a few more beers, eat, get out of the way so that I can sit down. If you give them a negative review, you clearly have the taste of a level 3 paladin and not a level 20 magic user. I can't be more clear.

A bistro burger with HYPE on the side

It's a decent burger. At 3AM, it's a great burger. I ordered the Bistro burger, medium. The beef was crumbly, not dry, but lacking juices a freshly cooked burger should have. The size of the burger seemed comparable to a double whopper but tasted a whole lot better. I was in the W. Village for the night, so making the trip by car was no problem. The burger is not good enough to warrant a trip from anywhere else in the city. The shoestring fries were crispy, but arrived warm. I'll consider another meal there during the afternoon.

    Burgers need help

I've never had anything here but burgers / fries and grilled cheese. They are constantly rated among the top burgers in NYC. Yes, they're big. Yes, they're messy and tasty. BUT>>> They are flame grilled in sort of a giant toaster oven that doesn't sear the meat, so they come out sort of steamed. This is a big minus in my book. They should tune those ovens to have a hotter flame and move it closer to the burgers. Then they'd really be the best.

    Best Burger in NYC!

My friends and I go around town to all the burger joints and we all agree that we have yet to find a better tasting burger than Corner Bistro. The burger and fries are just exceptional! The burger is melt in your mouth and the fries are nice and crunchy! It's so good it's worth the wait in the crowded bar and slow service. HANDS DOWN, best burger in NYC!

    Here to spread some light

Here to put my review and I don't see why Corner Bistro deserved some bad reviews... 5 Food: 5 for the fact that the bistro burger I ordered came out GREAT, the beef wasn't a dull grey piece of meat bathed in it's own grease. This is probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. 4 Service: Service is fine, no one giving an attitude to anyone. Most places now a days will have someone snooty servicing you. 4 Value: Nothing to really complain here or to commend. But to those who are penny pinchers, don't expect too much. The prices at the nearby Magnolia Bakery will make you feel better about the prices at Corner Bistro. 3.5 Atmosphere: It's a dark place, not much to say about this. All in all, corner bistro's burgers are great. But don't go too far and expect to get perfection in all aspects. It's definitely and currently the top burger of new york city in my opinion.
